September 21, 200421 yr I think that the "Quality Start" issue is for arbitration. Josh is trying to make more money. The error does not directly effect Agon's salary, certainly not next season. We have seen that Josh can say some stupid things but lets remember it is about on the field performance. Without a threesome of pavano, burnett and beckett our potential to be a Championship contender is severly limited. As we have seen from Josh's comments, money is important to him. That is why i think you should see great things from him next year. He can not rest on a World series MVP this offsesason like he did last year. He needs to have a big year in order to get the significant contract he desires. from the marlins or anyt team.

He's been great for autographs, for me, I've got about a dozen. Talent wise I can't knock the guy either, he's got the goods he just needs to deliver them on a consistent basis. I will say if he's going to knock someone for their performance he should look at himself first as Alex has saved his butt several times this year already.

He isn't making that much money, and he could easily turn into an All-Star next year. Y'know, winning the World Series has already sunk it, but looking back and thinking of all of Beckett's heroics still seems unbelivable. I've been following this kid (like every other Marlins fan) for 5 or 6 years, and while his regular season success has never been that great, it's hard for me to believe what he did last October.
