September 22, 200421 yr Author No, I think you are right in thinking we are on the outside looking in. We had to win our way in and it looks less likely like it is going to happen now. I think our boys are just worn down both mentally and physically. Tough break these last few weeks. But they will fight on. On a hopeful note, the Pirates tied it 4-4 with the Cubs. If Giants lose today and cubs lose, we stay in it but obviously loose the chance to make up some ground.
September 22, 200421 yr It's pretty much over now. Even if we win out, that still might not be enough to make the playoffs. Just take solace in the fact that this will be the first time in team history that they've had back to back winning seasons. We're a team headed in the right direction.

Just when you think they're washed up, they spring back into action. We can't take advantage of when the Giants, Cubs or Astros lose. If you dont make up ground...you cant win it.
