Are the Atlanta Braves a dynasty?

Featured Replies

of course they are. Doesn't matter about championships. They have been dominating their division since 1991. This includes the division rivals of the Giants, Dodgers, Astros, Mets, Phillies and two time world series champs Florida Marlins.

Yes, they are, in terms of their division.

They've had the talent though to win it all and haven't.

unfortunatly they are not, since they have only won one championship

you can win your division all you want, yes its a remarkable feat but you still have nothing to show for it ... they know it and the people in atlanta know it

So many divison titles, yet only one championship. Come postseason, their season just fades away.

Agreed. They're an NL East dynasty, but not an MLB dynasty. You can't be a dynasty on one championship. I think at least 3 is requred. 3 in a short time.

i consider them an NL dynasty. to go with the 13 divisional titles, they got 5 pennants in a 9 year span.

well the Braves arent exactly 1 and done in the playoffs every year

they do have 4 NL Pennants to go with that 1 WS

and if the Braves win this year... do you consider them a dynasty?(for those who dont now)

Atlanta

1 World Championship and 6 World Series appearances in 13 years - No.

The Yankmees

4 World Championships and 6 World Series appearances in 8 years - Yes.

13 straight division titles = dynasty.

Division titles = meaningless in this day of 3 divisions and a Wild Card. They've only made it to the LCS once in the past 4 years.

How do you figure? Only four teams out of 16 make the playoffs, three by division winner. That's pretty meaningful.
