November 19, 200322 yr it should be legal. Marijuana was legal in several states in the 1980's, such as Kansas, Tenn., Alaska, etc. It may be legal in Oregon right now. However, U.S. Federal law has it illegal everywhere in the U.S. Do a Google search of "marijuana impotence," and discover numerous articles such as the following excerpt: Many drugs, illicit (e.g., marijuana , heroin , and cocaine ) and prescription (e.g., ulcer medicines such as cimetidine (Tagamet) and hypertension medicines such as beta-blockers and diuretics ), have been associated with impotence in some men. Smoking and alcoholism also can inhibit sexual excitement. So if more of you young dudes smoke pot, that means more young women available for me to poach! J/K :elefant :balloons :party :arms :lolup :lolup :lolup

December 1, 200322 yr No! You want more people to die? This will become a very bad Country if people start using it. There will be more accidents and more deaths...... First of all, I would like to emphasize that I am not for using drugs... In fact I have never even sniffed or smoked anything in my entire life... However, in my opinion, prohibition of drugs has not stopped its use. It has actually increased the social problems of drug abuse. I sincerely think that the United States government approach to the Drug problem is fundamentally flawed. The approach is the same as the alcohol prohibition in the 1920-1930's, which caused more blood shed than anything else. More alternatives to the "war on drugs" should be looked at. So far I do not see significant results in wasting 19 billion of America's resources to help interdiction efforts in South America. I am not saying that we should go ahead and legalize all drugs and let everybody use it at their will... I am talking about a systematic approach, similar to the system used by the Dutch and in Sweden. Government control is the key here. Seriously, consider what are the benefits or advances seen since the "war on drugs" started with more emphasis???? Exactly, none, nule, zero, We are worst now than before!

December 2, 200322 yr um..prohibition was in the 20s Prohibition started in the 1920's and ended in mid 1930's... So Let's just say it happened from the 1920's to the 1930's.... Happy??? Prohibition PROHIBITION (1920?1933 R.I.P.) was known as The Noble Experiment. The results of the experiment are clear: innocent people suffered; organized crime grew into an empire; the police, courts, and politicians became increasingly corrupt; disrespect for the law grew; and the per capita consumption of the prohibited substance?alcohol?increased dramatically, year by year, for the thirteen years of this Noble Experiment, never to return to the pre-1920 levels.
December 2, 200322 yr I can't even think of taking illegal drugs. Not that I want any, but I am drug tested at all my places of employment. While I worked at a rocket manufacturing facility in Utah, there fellow employees would sniff your breath for being under the influence of drugs or alcohol. If suspected you would have to take a drug/alcohol test. One guy that I knew got fired for failing the alcohol test after being sniffed. The son of a friend of my sister got fired recently for failing the drug test after being hired at menial job in So. Cal. But I loved those couple of years in Utah, the snow skiing was terrific.

Prohibition was one of the worst things ever to occur... But you really cannot compare marijuana with alcohol. Alcohol was legal and that was taken away...when has marijuana ever been legalized?
