October 10, 200422 yr The forward pass! Nice win by UNC. I hope it keeps Bunting his job. :shifty 587662 Yeah, there are actually UNC fans who are mad about the win because it means Bunting will probably stay if we beat dook. It sickens me. I like Bunting a lot and actually think that he's the right guy for the program. There have been a lot of rumors about SOS as his replacement and if Bunting was fired that would be the only acceptable choice IMO.
October 10, 200422 yr Good for UNC...they still ain't taking our Victory Bell. 587603 hah im thinking its gonna make an 8 mile trip south on the 15-501 this year anyways great win by durant and the guys over the other rival in the triangle. i like bunting and i hope he sticks around, unless we can get SOS. hes the only guy id like to see replace bunting
October 10, 200422 yr Northern Illinois wins 30-28 in Orlando over lowly Central Florida, kicking a 39 yard field goal by true freshman Chris Nendick after the Huskies choked away a huge lead. This may be the first time i've been angry after a win, but hey a wins a win I guess. NIU improves to 4-2 overall, 3-0 in the MAC, and the Huskies host Central Michigan in the 98th homecoming game, gametime is 3:05 PM Central Time on Comcast Sportsnet Chicago next Saturday.
October 10, 200422 yr Poor Poor UCF. :thumbup Nice win by FIU @ Stephen F. Austin (#5 in I-AA before this week), 31-24.
October 10, 200422 yr Elon lost 27-13 to Wofford but thegame was actually much much closer. Elon made two goaline stands and the Wofford FG kicker missed two kicks in the first half was only down 7-6 in mid third quarter when finally the game started to break open. Great effort from them playing the number 8 team in the nation.
October 10, 200422 yr Looks like Georgia Southern is the favorite in the Southern Conference thus far. FIU has them for their last game of the season.
October 10, 200422 yr On a side note, poor Furman, the ending to that game was unbelieveable, that brother that plays QB for Appalachian State was unstoppable today.
October 10, 200422 yr damn. smu lost. 44-10 rice wins. 587780 What a stunner there. Ohio drops a heartbreaker to Marshall 16-13. So close...yet so far away. I can't believe this spread offense with guys recruited to play the option is actually 3-3. They could be on to something once they get the right athletes for the system... too bad they'll be 1-AA by then.
October 10, 200422 yr Hey hugg, you makin the trip to Iowa City next weekend? Should be a great game.. A huge game for Iowa and a must win for OSU on the road. Kinnick will be rockin
October 10, 200422 yr Hey hugg, you makin the trip to Iowa City next weekend? Should be a great game.. A huge game for Iowa and a must win for OSU on the road. Kinnick will be rockin 587834 Nah, I'm working and couldn't afford even if I wasn't. I can't say I've seen you guys play yet this year, but as for us, we have the worst offense in the history of offenses. At least, with Krenzel, he had Jenkins and he found ways to get the job done. Zwick just throws the ball over people's heads, gets sacked, and dumps off 4 yard swing passes on 3rd and long. We ran the ball a little better this week, so, of course we passed all game and didn't give either back 10 carries. If one thing looks like it might be working, we do the other. We start the wrong quarterback and the wrong running back and we can't get the ball to our best playmaker (Holmes). It took us 5 games to get the ball in Ted Ginn's hands...and he scored first time he touched it...so we didn't get it to him again. On the plus side, our defense is pretty good and Dustin Fox is coming back next week. Final score will probably be 3-2. I don't know who wins. :lol
