Hello my Marlin friends, watching the playoffs made me think of last year and how exciting it was sitting in the stands with the towels waving and the crowd chanting as they walked down the ramps after the games, and, well, I missed you guys!!!!!lol. Anyway, I have been wondering about Castro and what is going on with him. Anyone have any news?

As far as I know, nothing.

It's kind of weird, but the only news we heard the rest of the season is that he was practicing in Jupiter....but that news was sometime in July.....nothing since.

 

I wonder if he is planning to play winter ball.

I still remember his last game like it was yesterday. What a way to go out.

 

BTW, are you talking about his rape case or his toe?

His case is coming up sometime this month or next I believe.

 

He's pretty much done I'd say.

I wonder what happened with Castro when he started out the year, he was horrible. I know he can do better and has proved he can do better coming off the Bench.

Yea with the beer leagues...

I think he'll get traded before Spring Training even starts. Lo Duca is our catcher next year with either Red, Treanor, or Willingham as the # 2 catcher. Way too many superior options besides Castro. He had his chance with us and he blew it. He may go on and have a great year with somebody else, but I wouldn't give him that chance here.

Castro had his trial delayed until November last I heard.

Strange how before this season expectations with Castro were so high, now that he struggled with the thought of multiple years in prison in his head, hes a horrible player. With a clear mind he can be a great hitter, I say keep him here for at least another year.
