October 15, 200421 yr This guy is a freakin moron: Link Rapper: Blacks 'cheered when 9-11 happened' Knight Ridder Newspapers Oct. 14, 2004 03:08 PM If Osama bin Laden ever buys a rap album, he'll probably start with a CD by KRS-One. The hip-hop anarchist has declared his solidarity with al-Qaida by asserting that he and other African-Americans "cheered when 9-11 happened," reports the New York Daily News. The rapper, real name Kris Parker, defiled the memory of those who died in the terrorist attacks as he spouted off at a recent New Yorker Festival panel discussion. advertisement "I say that proudly," the Boogie Down Productions founder went on, insisting that, before the attack, security guards kept Blacks out of the World Trade Center "because of the way we talk and dress. "So when the planes hit the building, we were like, 'Mmmm - justice.' " The atrocity of 9-11 "doesn't affect us the hip-hop community," he said. "9-11 happened to them, not us," he added, explaining that by "them" he meant "the rich ... those who are oppressing us. RCA or BMG, Universal, the radio stations." Parker also sneered at efforts by other rappers to get young people to vote. "Voting in a corrupt society adds more corruption," he added. "America has to commit suicide if the world is to be a better place."

October 16, 200421 yr Not condoning this, but I can see where he's coming from. 592913 Well then shed some light on the subject, rather than leave a vague post like this and make yourself look stupid.
October 16, 200421 yr He's entitled to his opinion, no matter how much it sucks. Freedom of speech doesn't just protect the speech we like. (shrugs)

(shrugs) 593086 I'm aware, but at the same time, there is a line between honest disagreement, and utter stupidity, and this is the first time i've seen Fritz cross that line, so i'm very surprised.

We kick him out of the country? Who honestly cares. The dude is a psuedo-celebrity so he gets his dumb opinion in the media. Big deal. There's tons more that's worse than this. And I'd put KKK rally's as a lot worse than that and they're legally allowed to do it. Want to drive yourself crazy? Think about all the people in this country who have messed up opinions like that and who don't get published in the media because they're not famous 80's rappers. People who own guns! Doesn't matter, they're allowed to. We're a free country, stuff like this is bound to happen. I'm not saying you have to like it, but if you truly believe in freedom then you realize that he's entitled to say and believe what he wants to.

Don't know how, but somewhere in there I dissassociated the word Fritz. Granted, all Fritz says was he could see where he was coming from...
