July 4, 200323 yr Author Finacially we will have to give up something to get him, we will be taking on too much payroll this year, I think he will resign along with Pudge next year, they both are good friends , Pudge is campaigning for this to happen, thye would both finish their careers in the place they want to be , Miami. Lee's days are history Miguel will make the move to 1st, he is currently taking ground balls there. This is a no-brainer, we need a difference maker batting after lowell.
July 4, 200323 yr The Rangers want pitching in return. They have a first baseman of the future already in Tex. Let's at least make proposals that are realistic. There is no way in hell Texas trades to get Lee. Period.
July 4, 200323 yr Gonzalez is in the last year of a two year $24 mil deal. His buddy Pudge is already here. He makes $13 mil this year, so $ 6.5 mil due. Texas wants pitching, well they can have Penny anytime they want !!!! I'd make that trade in a minute, especially if I could move Lee for pitching. We'd have no obligation in 2004, be rid of Penny, and Lee could bring us some arms. DO IT !!!!!!! Don't think twice, go directly to the wildcard, beinfest would be GM of the year. Wow!!!!!!
July 4, 200323 yr I'd like to wait until the off-season when Lee's value will be higher because of his better numbers after the ASB...unless a contender offers us a deal we can't refuse.

July 4, 200323 yr why not? the only reason he did not go to montreal is because of the turf. one thing i'm skeptical about though is his ability to hit in a pitchers park. he didn't do it in detroit. he also didn't have any protection there and will have protection here in miami, so it's interesting.
