November 12, 200421 yr Has been linked with the Marlins. He is a RF. He is one of my favorite players and while I want him to be an everyday player, I would love for him to stay here. Good defense and a bit of pop in his bat. I wouldnt mind seeing him on the Marlins though. Just thought Id bring this up.
November 12, 200421 yr This has nothing to do with anything, but isn't he blind in one eye? or is it deaf in one ear? I forget.. I might just be making this up too.

A nice fit for Miami, if you ask me.
November 12, 200421 yr I like Gabe Kapler. He's a talented Gamer. But, on any contender, he is a back-up OF. We don't need any back-up OF. We have plenty, led IMO by Aguila, and more who will blossom in Winter Ball and Spring Training. Either we get a real proven power LH Position Starter or we put every penny into Pitching.
November 12, 200421 yr I agree with Chin high on this. Kapler is certainly a good useful OF, but should be at best a 4th OF/platoon-type of player. We shouldn't forget the lessons of the "Hollandsworth experiment".

November 21, 200421 yr We don't need another Chris Aguila. I love Gabe Kapler and always root for him (he's one of the few Jewish ball players in the big leagues) but I wouldn't want to see him as a starter on the Fish and we certainly don't need another backup outfielder.

November 21, 200421 yr Anybody But Encarnacion(ABE....quite ironic) 613198 Took me a minute there but I got it. I like the guy but really all he will ever be is a decent outfielder.
November 22, 200421 yr all he will ever be is a decent outfielder. 618992 Decent? Encarnacion is far and away above average defensively. If you want decent defense, look no further than Cabs.
