Vasquez is set to make $10.5 next year, $11.5 the year after, and $12.50 in 2007. Get the Yanks to cover all but $3, $3.5 and $3.5 in exchange for Randy. They already showed their nuts with how much they are paying the White Sox for Contreas. Give the DBacks Enc, Stokes, and Murphy. Attempt to resign Lo Duca for a 3 year deal ($4, $6, $5). Platoon the catcher prospect and/or one of our younger guys with Redmond. Sign either Drew or Magglio for RF, or put Conine in the OF and sign Delgado. We should have money left over to resign Mando and maybe upgrade our 5th start slot with a guy like Paul Wilson. Hopefully we'll get something better than what the Angels are offering. If we only get Guillen and a bullpen arm from the Angels for Randy, I'll be pissed.

November 15, 200421 yr Bonds may not be the most media friendly person, but he knows what it is to play for a team. He doesn't throw tempter tantrums when he's lifted for a pinch runner. When he's hurt, he plays through the pain to give the Giants the best chance at winning. People confuse Bonds' confidence with arrogance. When you're arguably the best player in the game, how can you not be full of confidence? As for the little fight with Kent..... I'm so tired of people bringing that up. All you saw was the 5 second highlight on Sportscenter... That fight was brought upon by Jeff Kent, not Bonds. Kent was yelling at David Bell for his own screw up and Bonds tried to be the middle man and get them away from each other. At that point, Kent kept on mouthing off to Barry, and he wasn't gonna take that crap from him. Bonds has also been known to help out rookies on the Giants. So he has his own wing in the clubouse... He deserves that. He's one of the 3 men EVER to hit 700 homeruns. He's earned that respect. He doesn't badmouth anybody or disrespect his teammates... If you'd read before you speak, you'd even know that a bunch of guys that have signed on with the Giants completely change their views on Barry Bonds.
