The Toronto Raptors star was informed by the NBA that he no longer can listen to music on his iPod during the 20-minute warmup period before each game. Carter recently started listening to the music on his headphones, a violation of the league's rules on proper attire. When the NBA heard about it, the league called the Raptors. "We informed them that he can no longer do that," NBA spokesman Brian McIntyre said Tuesday. Carter has said he listens to the music in order to focus before a game. I dont see what the problem is

They can't make a shot past 15 feet. They're ruining college basketball. There are tons of empty seats in NBA arenas. They need to get rid of guaranteed contracts. There are no rivalries anymore. There is not one star the NBA can latch onto like Jordan.. maybe LeBron if he continues to improve. NBA teams have adopted the defensive philosophy from Daly which is to play junk defense where the goal is to simply foul the hell out of the other team from the minute they step onto the court. Grabbing, bumping, holding, hand checking. All fouls, but the refs and the NBA looked the other way, ratings were still good thanks to Jordan. They still had Jordan and he was able to have success against the junk defenses but it was only delaying the inevitable dropoff that would come about as soon as he retired The NBA has problems and Stern needs to quit sitting on his thumb and address them. The NBA is reaping what it sowed. It went the marketing route of the individuals and hyped the highlight dunks and spectacular one on one moves. Listen to music to get them juiced up! And then after that, let's let Ron Artest act like a total nut job and Allen Iverson to go and brandish weapons in public and act like a thug.
