They lost to Santa Clara, though, so I'm not ready to annoint them ACC champs or anything. I don't know anything about Illinois, except that Duke took them down in the Sweet 16 last year.
November 27, 200421 yr Yeah, I wouldn't know either. This is probably the first time in a few years in which I believe that Duke won't get past the Sweet 16. UNC needs to prove itself still Santa Clara is all I need to say about that. Wake seems to have had some close shaves early this season. GWU and VCU playing competitive to the supposed #1 cannot be good.
November 27, 200421 yr Basically Duke has only 7 scholarship players (Not counting two former senior walkons). It's going to take a lot of heart and dedication for this team to go far in the Tourney. Duke is going to need some quality minutes from Nelson, Love, and McClure. I like the fact that Coach K was stressing Endurance during the offseason because we arent very deep and we are going to run a lot. I expect Duke to reach the Elite 8 and nothing more.

November 28, 200421 yr Illinois destroyed Gonzaga today, who is pretty good, but very young and Indianapolis is basically Orange Krush East, so we should have won that game. We will find out Wednesday night how good the Illini are when they play #1 Wake Forest at the Assembly Hall.
