November 28, 200421 yr I've always had somewhat of a fascination with ghosts and the supernatural. If any of you have any good ghost stories, I'd be much interested to hear them. Please post them here along with pictures if you have them. I'll start off with one I just found. SS Watertown Ghosts The case of the SS Watertown is a classic example of what many believe to be an authentic ghost photograph. The story, as recounted by the eminent and long-time director of the American Psychical Institute, Dr. Hereward Carrington, and as detailed in the house magazine of the shipping company, told of the tanker, SS Watertown making its way through the Pacific Ocean in December 1924. Seaman James Courtney and Michael Meehan were assigned to clean out a cargo tank. While doing this task they were overcome by gas fumes and died before help could reach them. Following the tradition of the sea, their bodies were committed to the ocean on December 4th. The following day, just before dusk, the entire ship was in uproar when the heads of the two dead seamen were clearly seen on board ship and, later, in the sea. Thereafter the ghost faces were frequently seen. A snapshot was taken and the camera, with film intact and untouched inside, was handed to Captain Keith Tracy for safekeeping. On reaching port in New Orleans the Captain handed the camera over to officials of the Cities Services Company and they sent it directly to their New York office, where the film was developed and printed by a commerical photographer, and there were the heads of Courtney and Meehan, exactly as they had been seen on board ship!

November 28, 200421 yr Doorway to Hell? Direct passage to Hades! This is Jim at Ghoststudy... "we received this picture in an email many months ago but unfortunately the email was lost. We just happened to save the picture so I am posting it this month for all to view. I don't remember how the story went exactly, but I do remember this picture was taken in an abandoned Insane Asylum. I believe the photo was taken of an attractive mural but when the film was developed, this showed up instead. The person that took the picture was chilled to the bone after seeing what appeared in place of the mural. She eventually took this photo to work and posted it on a bulletin board for all her friends and colleagues to see. This photo has made it's rounds as you can see by the crumpled edges and tape. If you are the owner of this picture, please write us."
November 28, 200421 yr The Northern Illinois region has one of the highest volume of ghost cases of anywhere in this country. I've heard so many stories from so many people and seen so many photographs that it can't all be made up, plus I believe in a spiritual world with good and evil in it, so yes I believe in ghosts.
November 28, 200421 yr I believe in ghosts. I have watched too many tv shows about them and went on to too many websites. They scare the hell out of me.
November 28, 200421 yr Hell yes, Oheeoh probably does live in one of the most highly saturated area's of hauntings, most notably the old bachelor's grove cemetary. Their's plenty of legends around her of the old persecuted irish minors, many sent to the gallows for ficticious crimes. However I do believe that many people will say anything is a ghost if they can't explain it. Hauntings are much rarer then people make it out to be.

I think the facts say that ghosts almost for sure exist at least somewhat, but the fact that so many people make up false stories to try and involve ghosts is why so many people are so skeptical.
November 28, 200421 yr I can say they do from personal experience. This one time when I was a little kid, I was wandering downstairs in our home at night (don't ask why, I was a stupid little kid). As I came to the staircase, I look up at the top and saw a man standing there. Naturally, I screamed like a little wuss and my mom came to "save me." She never saw or heard anything, but I described to her and my grandparents exactly what I saw. As it turns out the previous owner had died in that house and I described him exactly. The interesting thing is I had no idea there ever was a previous owner nor had I ever seen pictures of him. I've had a few other instances of ghostly interaction, but I am thankful that I have not had any in a long long time.
November 28, 200421 yr I believe in ghost, now. I didn't believe in them until a few years ago. My family and I lived in this big Victorian house, and every night we would hear someone come down the stairs at exactly 1:15 at night. Our stairs were really creaky and loud so it would basically wake up every one in the house. We would also notice our rocking chair rock back and forward when no one was in it. Well we kinda dismissed this until about 5 months later something would shake my bed to wake me up at exacty 6:15 every morning. If I were to turn over, it would shake my bed even harder. The daughter of the man and woman who lived in the house said that her father built the house, and that both her mother and her father died in that house. She said that late at night her mother used to check on her and her siblings. She also said that her mother would wake them up at 6:15 in the morning by shaking the bed.

November 28, 200421 yr Yes, i believe in ghosts. I'm just so fascinated with the supernatural world. I love hearing/learning about this stuff.
November 28, 200421 yr I believe in them, but I don't believe that there are evil ghosts, only sad, hardworking ghosts who think they are protecting you. And also the pranksters.

November 28, 200421 yr No, there are no things as ghosts, tooth fairy, santa claus, and aliens that abduct people and give them anal probes.
November 28, 200421 yr while i do think ghosts exist, i'm waiting eagerly for a credible, recognized journalist to attest to witnessing or snapping a photograph of one.
