December 8, 200421 yr Fun game. Some notes: - FIU is a talented team, they just have absolutely no fundamentals whatsoever. Passing is suspect, Ishmael had an off night. - Almonte is very good, but he has an obsession with his underpants - Guillermo Diaz had an off night and still managed 13 points. He was wild shooting and missed a couple dunk chances. Pity. - Robert Hite was unconscious. He started the 9-0 (on 3 3 pointers) run in the first half that put FIU away. UM will be dangerous if he keeps shooting like that, especially on nights like this when Diaz was no where to be seen (he seemed really pissed, something was up there)

December 8, 200421 yr Almonte is a great player, he hustles like crazy and it shows. We have no outside shooting right now, we have a couple of recruits already signed up for next year that should help out with that. We only have one guy who can hit outside shots and he was off tonight. That Hite guy was crazy, without his crazy outside shooting FIU has a much better chance, he took over the game by himself.

December 8, 200421 yr Author I loved how the cheerleaders were competing. I love a good rivalry. Oh yea, and Jim Berry passed right by me. I didn't stop him since he seemed like he was in a bit of a hurry.
December 8, 200421 yr I don't think this will be a rivalry. Myself personally, I wore and FIU TShirt with a UM hat, and considered myself a passive observer. I really only clapped when the cheerleaders did something impressive, or when there was a ridiculous play on either side. There's alot of people who'd have to pick sides for it to be a rivalry now, but wait maybe a decade or so and maybe.
