December 21, 200421 yr Definetly Arizona. They overspent and are trading away their best pitcher, which makes no sense. Not to mention they're supposed to be in a financial crisis.
December 21, 200421 yr Right now, I'd say the Angels. They lost their closer, they're giving $16 million/year to a 40-year-old guy and a SS who can't get on base, and their starting pitching still sucks. If Billy Beane would've held on to Mulder and signed an OF or a DH, the A's could've run away with the West next year.
December 21, 200421 yr On that list I'd go with the White Sox. They took a step forward with Dye, but then took two steps back with trading Lee IMO. In terms of improvement, a lot of teams have done nothing.
December 21, 200421 yr Dodgers without question so far.. Cubs havent really done that much either.. Resigning Garciaparra, Walker, Macias, and Rusch and signing Blanco.. I'm scared
December 21, 200421 yr Yea your actually right, the havent changed a thing from last years 3rd place team except losing their best offensive player last year,
December 21, 200421 yr Dodgers without question so far.. Without question? They got rid of an OF that is scheduled to make $16-$17 million next year and isn't any better than Carlos Lee, and a LHSP that makes millions and can't keep people off base, while signing one of the best offensive 2B in baseball, and picking up a prized catching prospect, and freeing up enough cash to sign Beltran, and they're the worst?
December 21, 200421 yr You know what.. Come to think of it.. As of right now Houston.. They havent done ANYTHING! Wow they resigned Orlando Palmeiro, resigned Jose Vizcaino (I think), let Kent go, let Miller go, Beltran could be gone soon, and Clemens may not even come back.
December 21, 200421 yr Arizona might be overspending but atleast they're making their team look like a major league team instead of Triple-A team.
December 21, 200421 yr Not to mntion the fact they got Kearns to play 3rd. Kearns is an OF. If they're moving him to 3B, they're in trouble.
