Cutting short a business trip in Europe, Loria helped influence the process by stressing his desire to return to the Marlins to the playoffs. In all, nine members from the Marlins greeted Delgado on that Saturday afternoon at Dolphins Stadium before heading to dinner. Hitting coach Bill Robinson was part of the group, and he felt the organization made a classy display when Delgado toured the clubhouse. The empty clubhouse sported white Marlins jerseys of all the players, complete with numbers and names on the back. Hanging among the display of white jerseys was a lone black jersey with the No. 25 and Delgado sewn on the back. That is so badass. More awesomeness: When Robinson met with Delgado over dinner, he told the slugger: "You potentially have 560 base hits in front of you." That number comes from the projected total of hits from Pierre, Castillo and Cabrera. Last year, Pierre led the National League with 221 hits. Castillo added 164 and Cabrera had 177.
