Here is a Marlins Radio Update

How many other clubs have TWO play-by-play radio guys? DVH is enough, I just don't understand the urgent need to hire a second play-by-play man.

"Sorry folks... park's closed... the moose in front should have told ya!" Might be the funniest reference I've ever heard during a play-by-play of a game.

This guy sounds like a screamer, but he sounds entertaining as heck.

Cape do know, if QAM is going to hire him for a possible radio show down the line. This guy if I'm not mistaken worked on a show out in SoCal on "might 690" So if QAM is smart they'd break-up that all Dolphin hosts program with a very good sports host.

Ed,

I see no mention of him working with Clear Channel LA on 690, 570, or 1150 outside of Cal broadcasts which originate from KGO in San Fran.

Thanks Cape I thought I had heard him on the radio during my stay out there. Maybe it was Foxsports or ESPN?

CAL Basketball Report

Never miss a highlight of the Cal basketball season by tuning into the Cal Basketball Report on FSN Bay Area. Each episode features host Roxy Bernstein as he takes you on a tour of the weekly Cal hoops? highlights. In addition to game-by-game coverage, every program includes a one-on-one interview with Head Coach Ben Braun, along with a breakdown of upcoming PAC 10 opponents. Finally, former Cal Basketball star Courtney Johnson stops by with weekly updates on the status of the Cal Women?s program.

So far here is what I have dug up on Roxy Bernstein.

Some SF Giants/KNBR fill-ins in 2003.

If I have to listen to one guy in the booth for 162 games (plus the playoffs), I'm going to shoot myself. Get a second guy in there..

You're the Man, CapeFish. Thanks for the heads-up and the audio link.

Roxy's energy, enthusiasm, voice and apparent knowledge of the game sounds like fun.

He could be a good complement to DVH.

And I am a DVH fan.

it sounds ok. i dont like the screaming part, but he sounds interesting enough. i dont listen to much games on the radio, so it wont affect me much
