July 18, 200322 yr I'm a die hard fan and I'm one of those who attend training camp but usually on sundays. This year I might be attending alot more than just sundays. Now that I'm not doing anything in the morning thats cool man, fellow Dolfan. going to the camps is really the only thing i dont do. one day i will graduate to that level.
July 18, 200322 yr see the reason i base my ideas about dolphin fans is based solely on the team struggling to sell out a couple of playoff games in the late 90s. While I was probably harsh in my remarks, they are not in the top 5 for best fans.
July 18, 200322 yr i was at fan fest this year also, that s*** was crazy. i would go to the thing they're having on Saturday but i had the bad luck of my parents booking our vacation for Saturday. which means ill probably miss out on the Jets this year unless i find the money to get my season tickets back

While I was probably harsh in my remarks, they are not in the top 5 for best fans. 1999 against the Bills 2001 against the Colts 2002 against the Ravens they're are different reasons, prices is probably the biggest one. i found my way to the Bill game (one of the most memorable games i had been to for more reasons than one) and the Ravens game. couldnt go to the Colts game because my family chose that weekend to go to Disney (they have horrible timing). but i listened to the game when i was at the park, Lamar Smith scored the game winner when i was in Minnies house, i went buckwild in there when that happened. all these people were staring but i didnt give a damn.

July 18, 200322 yr Author FishFan don't even get me started. The Packers fans are so much better then any other fans its not even close. The Packers also have so much better of a history and tradition then anyone its not even close. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Even Don Shula when he went there for the Packer/Fin game last season on Monday night said this... "When I walked into Lambeau, my knees turned to oatmeal. And I fell. I was just in awe. The Packers have not only the best stadium in all of sports, but the best fans in all of sports to go with it." That was quoted from the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel the day after the game. Randy Moss and Chris Hovan 2 big time Packer Haters... "As much as I hate them man, their fans are great. Their stadium is equally great. You haven't experienced the NFL, your not an NFL fan, until you've been to Lambeau and heard the crowd roar." - Randy Moss, WR, Minnesota Vikings- - 3 years ago in ESPN the magazine commenting on the game where Antonio Freeman made the improbable back to stomach catch to win in overtime. "If I could play for any other team, it would be the Packers. The Fans, The Stadium. The History. The chance to play with Brett. They are truly the ultimate experience in sports." - Chris Hovan, DT, Minnesota Vikings- - After last years come from behind Packer victory spearheaded by Brett Favre. Source: Sports Illustrated.com Even Dave Wannstedt got in on the act.... "Man as much as I'd love to beat these guys here at Lambeau. Going into the game your confident, you know? Like we can Win this week at Lambeau. But when you get there, your jaw just drops. The Fans their are louder then fans are in most dome stadiums. The structure of the Stadium is incredible. Its truly what the NFL is all about." Quoted Packer Plus after the Monday Night football game last year at Lambeau. John Gruden, former Packers Offensive Coordinator and current Tampa Bay Bucs coach on being asked who has the best fans of the Raiders or Buccaneers... "As great of fans as Raider fans and Buccaneer fans are, nothing and nobody comes close to Green Bay Fans. When I was the O-Cord in Green Bay even though they weren't the team they became 2 years after I left that won the Super Bowl. The Fans were incredible. They never gave up. Even when I return to coach there or watch them on TV, they could be getting blown out 30-0 at Lambeau in the 3rd Quarter and there still wouldn't be an empty seat in the house. Not a single seat. And that still goes for today." - John Gruden in an ESPN.com interview 3 days after winning the Super Bowl. There. Some testimonials you can't beat. :mischief2 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- And I dug this one up from the NFL.com Archives.... Dan Marino on Packers fans.... "Miami fans are some of the best in the NFL. But the NFL was born in Green Bay. The NFL lives in Green Bay. The '72 Dolphins carry an aura with them. But the 60's Packers carry even more an aura with them. Shula is easily the best Coach of the 70's. But Lombardi is easily the best coach of all time. The Packers are probably playing in the best stadium in all of sports. And the Packers WITHOUT QUESTION are playing in front of the best fans in all of sports." Dan Marino after September game at Lambeau Field where the Packers were victorious (1997) FishFan whether you like to admit it or not, the Packers have the best fans, stadium, and tradition in football. 22 YEARS of CONSECUTIVE SELLOUTS! 22 YEARS! That even stretches to the days where Green Bay sucked.
July 19, 200322 yr The Packers fans are so much better then any other fans its not even close. The Packers also have so much better of a history and tradition then anyone its not even close. Apparently you've never heard of that baseball team... Umm... The New York Yankees!
July 19, 200322 yr Apparently you've never heard of that baseball team... Umm... The New York Yankees! I really, really hope you weren't implying Yankees have the best fans in baseball.
July 19, 200322 yr i think Josh was referring to the Yankees as a team with alot of history and tradition, but since the title of this thread is 'best fans in football', Josh has no clue what he is talking about
July 19, 200322 yr I have to go with The Patriots. They were on the verge of being moved, when NE fans learned of this they never looked back. Every game including Preseason games have been sell outs since...
July 19, 200322 yr i think Josh was referring to the Yankees as a team with alot of history and tradition, but since the title of this thread is 'best fans in football', Josh has no clue what he is talking about ACTUALLY! Read what Phlub said: The Packers fans are so much better then any other fans its not even close. The Packers also have so much better of a history and tradition then anyone its not even close. He's implying that the Packers have more tradition and history than any team, ever. Not discluding any sport. The Yankees have more tradition and history than any franchise ever...
July 19, 200322 yr he never said anything about another sport dude.... you just read too much into it
July 20, 200322 yr Author WC don't overwork your brain. There is no team in sports with more tradition then the Yankees. Period. And Rune, the fact that Patriot fans had to be forced to go to Pat games in a sense with the threat of moving them dangling overhead, shows that they are almost fair weather fans. The Fact that Packers fans have sold out every game, PreSeason, Regular Season and Playoffs for 22 years in a row, is incredible. The fact that the Pats didn't sell out until they were threatened with moving shows the fans are only loyal when its convienient for them.
July 20, 200322 yr And Rune, the fact that Patriot fans had to be forced to go to Pat games in a sense with the threat of moving them dangling overhead, shows that they are almost fair weather fans. If their Fair Weather Fans why are they still there? Answer me that when the threat is no longer there. O wait that's right you just mentioned that so you push your Packer fans up higher. The Patriots fans were not forced mainly because Kraft was the one who saved it from moving. They weren't moving even if Attendance stayed the same it was just that The Patriots fans didn't want this threat again. So please don't say they were forced because the team was still going to be there because of an owner they just didn't want to have to go through that again. The Patriots fans have been through hell that's the reason my dad's voice is tougher to hear than before because of The PAtriots and some of their play(I'm not joking either).
July 20, 200322 yr The Fact that Packers fans have sold out every game, PreSeason, Regular Season and Playoffs for 22 years in a row, is incredible. Seeing that they're a football team, not a baseball basketball or hockey team, and there's only maybe 11-13 home games per year (including Pre and Post season) then they should sell out every game, regaurdless of team. Miami always sells out its games. So what?
July 20, 200322 yr Author Wild Card you dont seem to get the enormity of it. The 22 year sellout that will be 23 years this upcoming season, is an ALL TIME NFL AND SPORTS RECORD FOR LENGTH OF TIME. And Rune, you only made it out that they started to go to games because the Pats might have left. The Twins fans did the same. They didn't appreiciate them until they almost lost them. And well it seems like the Pats fans did the same. But I obviously misjudged that then. But if its what the Twins fans did, then screw em. Because the Twin fans should have been loyal anyways. Even during the tough days.
July 20, 200322 yr Any franchise in the NFL that doesn't sell out its games is pretty pathetic. I don't care how many games, years or whatever they have sold out consecutively. Doesn't make the Brown, Raider, Bear, Eagle, ect. fans any less fans...
July 21, 200322 yr Author 22 years is a hell of a lot more then what you guys are running. You guys didn't sell out all of your games last year. In fact 2 regular season games weren't sold out according to ESPN.
July 21, 200322 yr Phlub, didn't the Packers spend a short time at County Stadium in Milwaukee? I seem to remember that.
