The importance of Pudge?

Featured Replies

After seeing what the team does when Pudge is hot...

And assuming we won't have Castillo next year...

And most likely won't have Lee...

And may not have Lowell and Encarnacion...

How important is it to sign Pudge?

Think of how much less production we would be getting from, say, a Castro/Redmond platoon...and we most likely won't even have Redmond next year...something like Castro/Willingham...

Where do you draw the line on the amount to pay for Pudge?

i think the Marlins will re-sign Pudge , Lowell and Encarnacion and Lee and Castillo will be traded b-4 the July 31st deadline

Wow...

Is this seriously what you think will happen?

I'll give you 250-1 odds this DOESN'T happen... Make it 1,000,000-1 odds! :lol

This is too funny...

Are you Chris Rock in disguise?

:lol :lol :lol

I re-read your post and I think I misunderstood. Did you mean that we will resign Pudge, Lowell and Encarnacion and get rid of Lee and Castillo. I don't see it happening before the deadline but it is possible. I was thinking you meant we will resign Pudge and get rid of the rest.

I thought that for a second, but his horrible grammar and spelling led me to think otherwise.

I STILL don't see it happening... :lol

ok Mr.No Life umm tell me how is that not correct.. u been an idi*t trying to read it fast mis-read it

so we are gonna break-up the right side of our infield before the break?

if we fall out of contention than sure, but not if we are winning

Of course none of this answers my question...

How much should the team be willing to give up to keep Pudge?

meaning $ wise?

or player wise?

he is gone.... we wont be able to afford him.....unless we make the playoffs or sell out alot of games in September.... even that may not get it done....

i think its time to give Ramon a chance though

Of course none of this answers my question...

Not a dime to resign Pudge.....

I know it's Saturday night, but all of you thinking Pudge will re-sign partied a little too much tonite....

It's bad enough we will be paying him two years from now when he's long gone.

Fire up for Castro... Mark my words, he'a the real deal, just needs AB's to shock the world.

I don't think Pudge will resign...

But, can this team afford not having Pudge in the lineup next year?

Pudge will re-sign , he wants to finish his career in South Florida

nope , Pudge will take less $$ to play here watch

how much less do you think he's going to take???!!!!

We're paying him 10 million this year! 10 million!

The fact that it's being paid out over 4 years makes it even less likely he'll be resigned because it shows we simply can't afford big contracts.

If he's getting 10 this year, a good bargain would be...what, 8? 7? You think he's going to take 6 here? You've just gone plain loco.

Pudge will re-sign , he wants to finish his career in South Florida really?

than why did he say he wants to go back to Texas next year?

he must be joking around

Another of my crazy ideas...but how about if we deal Lee, play Castro at 1st and re-sign Pudge for another year? Castro could then move back to C when Stokes is ready??
