July 20, 200323 yr The Phillies just aquired Mike Williams and Cash from The Pirates for A AAA reliver, The Phillies Bullpen has been stellar this year something DT must eat seeing that every joke he made was about their pen. I'm not thrilled about this Williams deal seeing that Frenchy, Pleasac, and Silva have had great years but of course Jose Mesa is going to give you a heart attack so obviously this is for if he continues to struggle.

How does a marlins fan seem to focus more on The Phils than The Fish? :mischief jk Hence the reason I said I wasn't thrilled with the deal but if you didn't notice Mesa is not CLoser#1. I'm not thrilled with the idea mainly because Frenchy and Wendell have been excellent set up guys for Jose but I guess The Phils want to have back up plan.

July 20, 200323 yr Author He's Brooks, Not even a top 30 prospect. He has a mid 2 era and a lefty and was just promoted to AAA but I've seen him and he will not be anything better than A Mid 4 era middle RL.

July 21, 200323 yr Sorry guys, but as long as Mesa is in the Phils bullpen, it is not that good. Remember he walks/hits/gets hit by enough Marlins in order to blow games.

July 21, 200323 yr Rune, I am talking about Mesa and the Phillies bullpen in reference against the Marlins. I know Mesa does a good job with other teams, he just doesn't against the Marlins. Never has (See 1997 vs. Indians in World Series), and hopefully never will :devil . BTW, the Braves' Hernandez is really slumping. Cox has had to pull him several times this month already from jams.
July 27, 200323 yr I dont think that will improve them. Mike has been awful this season and has alot of blown saves. Plus his ERA is like 6.00!

Yeah I did and of course was disgusted but then forgot that when I saw The Hells Angel's role into town for their national convention. Which was sweet.
