But yeah, another Rich Waltz thread. :(

I don't get all the hate this guy is getting. I know you all love Len, and that's cool, I really like him too (gives me a reason to actually watch Cubs games) but he's gone now. You can tell the new guy is a bit nervous, but I think he's really doing a pretty good job all things considered and look forward to hearing him once he's more comfortable.

I'm sure some people just aren't used to him yet and that's cool, but to say Waltz sucks is both unfair and inaccurate.

True.. :clapping

Thank you Craig. Some people are just foolish. To judge someone after four games is silly. And I personally like Rich a lot now. He's very informative guy and seems to be gelling well with Tommy now.

This board is NOT the place for logic and rationality.

yeah at first i wasn't too pleased with waltzy but up in otown, watching the braves on TBS , their announcers said that the marlins signed terry pendleton in 1955.. yes 55, like korean war 1955. those jokers can make anyone look like a million bucks.

Thanks, you have answered a lot of questions with that disturbingly accurate comment....

After the first game, I was disappointed by his effort. But I was willing to give him some leeway. A combination of slight improvement by Rich and my getting used to him has made listening to Marlins games a satisfactory experience.

Rich is doing just fine.

And is definitely getting better each game.

Rich Waltz has been getting better, the only problem I have is that Tommy and Rich don't seem to have the chemistry yet for a great broadcast duo. That is going to change eventually, so we can have an exciting broadcast team when the Marlins are leading the playoff hunt. :whistle
