Yahoo! Sports Game Preview

The Florida Marlins look to extend their winning streak to five games and post a two-game sweep over the New York Mets as they meet in the series final at Dolphins Stadium.

Juan Encarnacion homered and drove in four runs to help the Marlins win their fourth straight game, beating New York 9-2 Wednesday night.

The Marlins totaled a season-high 15 hits and have outscored opponents 47-4 in their six home victories.

``We got some clutch hits again,'' manager Jack McKeon said. ``We hope it can stay that way. If it does, we'll have a lot of fun.''

Encarnacion, who has two grand slams this season, batted with the bases loaded for the third time this year in the sixth and singled home a run. He also had an RBI single in the third and a two-run homer, his third, in the fourth.

Al Leiter will face the Mets for the second time in less than a week, and is hoping for a similar performance -- albeit with a better result -- on Thursday.

The veteran left-hander, still seeking his first win of the season for his new team, allowed only three hits in seven innings and left with a 2-1 lead before New York rallied for a 4-3 win in 10 innings on Saturday.

One night after hitting a team-record seven homers at Philadelphia, the Mets managed just four hits and were stymied by Josh Beckett (3-1), who allowed two runs in seven innings.

They will look to ace Pedro Martinez to get them back to the .500 mark.

The three-time Cy Young Award winner started who has allowed pitched well in his first three starts for the Mets, gave up two runs, three hits and struck out nine in seven innings on Staurday against the Marlins.

``If I am to lead, I am going to lead by example,'' said Martinez, who has fanned 30 in 22 innings to start the season.

This looks like it will be a good game.

Last nights game was great, it got the team national coverage, and Beckett was amazing!
