I don't think Brown is that bad, but for the salary he'd want, it would be a terrible move for the Marls.

If he wanted to play for the Marlins and was willing to accept a Leiter-type offer, I'd love for him to come back. We'll have more than a couple spots to fill. An one or two year deal with Brown would be better than the alternative, ie. re-signing Valdez, signing Jason Johnson to a expensive deal or starting the year with 3 rookies in the rotation.

 

But he must be willing to check the attitude and help the Marlins win.

No thanks. Brown hasn't done anything for the Yankees. Leiter was at least effective when he left the Mets. Brown just manages to look washed up everytime he goes to the mound.
