Did somebody throw a bucket of water on the mermaids?

I don't know about today, but last week when the Mermaids in bikinis were riding in that stupid boat car around the field, one of the grounds crew people threw a bucket of water on them.

I remember when the opposing pen would splash Billy as he rode on his boat. Good times.

The Reds bullpen splashed the Mermaids sunday...

I think the real problem is that everyone was swinging for the fences with players on base. Especially on a windy day when nothing was leaving the park for either team. A couple of bloop singles would have won the game.

Help me Lord.

Jack doesn't swing the bats, Jack doesn't make the plays, the Marlins (players) had numerous opportunities to contribute but didn't.

These kinds of threads do nothing to enhance the perception that this is a legitimate website for serious baseball discussion. Sheesh.

Are you around Castillo? Do you know anything regarding the status of his health? Maybe he had some aches and pains, maybe he asked for a day off. Easley is an admirable utility player. If he would have hit a home run or did something spectacular, nothing would have been said.

There are 24 guys on the roster. Some are more fragile than others and need more frequent days off. Just like a few have said, it is not a sprint but a marathon. The guys who are refreshed at the end of the race usually are the ones who win!

Just so you understand, when I commented on swinging for the fences, I wasn't saying that was a Jack issue..

I wasn't commenting on your post specifically but rather on the thread generally and it's title.

There was no such mistake on Jack's part, at all. a one run game, runner in scoring position and a speedy contact hitter who never strikes out. what more do you want? JP struck out which if im not mistaken is the second time this year? hey we came close.
