Huge mistake by Jack today was...

Oh come on, you can't blame Jack for thatt. And if he did pinch hit for Niner and the person called upon struck out, you'd be blaming Jack for that as well.

If you want to point fingers and if anything cost us the game, it was Easley's error which scored the second and ultimately winning run, not a managerial decision.

Damned if you do, damned if you don't.

Conine in his career is a great clutch hitter. No reason to PH for him there. He hits the game tying homer and Jack's a genius for not PH'ing for him

Im guessing that put his confidence down pretty low. He has to take advantage of his chances.

He's not a rookie, he's a long time vet. He can put AB's behind him without losing "confidence".

He has to worry if hes getting to old though to play good enough to stay in the league.

What do you base that on?

The fact that he put up about his average numbers last season? He's not accostumed to the role he's in this season getting AB's once or twice a week so it's unfair to make a statement like that.

Conine showed no patience. He could have walked if he had not swung on balls. If he wasnt batting, we would have scored some runs. He was fooled by so many pitches today. But that error by Easley is what angered me..

That was not lack of patience, it was because the strike zone was so ridiculous. If he didn't swing they would have been called strikes.

blame the umpire's enormous strike zone today for lack of patience.

Did somebody throw a bucket of water on the mermaids?

I don't know about today, but last week when the Mermaids in bikinis were riding in that stupid boat car around the field, one of the grounds crew people threw a bucket of water on them.

Whenever we lose a game, Jack should listen to this song...

i guess we've had our fun but it seems our fun is over now and that's all right it's all right time for me to move along and after all is said and done i'll be all right and it's all

right tell me something that's sure to break my heart cause everything's my fault and i know i deserve to be alone cause everything's my fault here we go again unsuccessful

to make amends but that's all right and it's all right i've tried as hard as i can but i can't can't seem to understand oh it's all right and it's all right tell me something that's sure to

break my heart cause everything's my fault and i know i deserve to be alone cause everything's my fault i guess it's over now your honesty has all run out but that's all right

and it's all right i just can't seem to see how the hell you can make believe that it's all right and it's all right tell me something that's sure to break my heart cause everything's

my fault and i know i deserve to be alone cause everything's my fault and everything's my fault and everything's my fault and everything's my fault and everything's my fault

I remember when the opposing pen would splash Billy as he rode on his boat. Good times.

He was swinging at balls obviously outside the zone because the strike zone was so ridiculous and if he didn't swing they would have been called strikes.

The pitch he swung at in his first at bat was on the dirt. The strike zone didn't affect that. If the ump would have called that a strike then he would have been thrown out of the game. :D

And how many players would've been fooled by that? Tommy or Rich even commented on the fact he had never seen this guy before and couldn't expect that. I don't know who you wanted in there instead of him but there's a good chance they'd K on that pitch too.

You need to look at all his AB's, not just one.

It's tough to throw the blame on Conine -- starting once every other week is incredibly difficult on anyone, let alone a guy who has been accustomed to playing every night his entire career.

That being said, he looked absolutley terrible in all of his AB's tonight. Considering how bad Niner looked all day long, I agree it was a mistake to not pinch hit for him. I would have brought up Miguel for Niner and taken my chances with Gonzalez especially considering we had no one to play SS had the game been tied.

I also don't understand sitting Cabs vs. a lefty and Castillo when he's on fire right before a day off. If he wanted to give anyone a day off it should have been Delgado vs. the lefthanded Claussen.

well that was not knowing the pitcher would throw that in that spot.

remember we had never seen him before.

and we i mean every player and coach on the team save in video, which isnt the exact same thing.
