May 7, 200521 yr The NY Yankees need to find it soon and push it. Mariano loses another game, they implode with 3 errors
May 7, 200521 yr It's been pressed, but they have no one to trade. The "Yankee" way won't work during the regular season anymore...best they can hope for as far as outfield help goes is Griffey or Wilson.
May 7, 200521 yr I dont know.. I'd like to find the stinkin button.. We are about to be 2-6 outside the NL Central (16-4 against) :banghead
May 7, 200521 yr I dont know.. I'd like to find the stinkin button.. We are about to be 2-6 outside the NL Central (16-4 against)? :banghead 765545 Every single one of your posts on this board relates to the Cardinals. This thread was about the Yankees.
May 7, 200521 yr And someone asked where the panic button is? I wanna know.. If it's with the Yankees all you had to do was tell me.. I can see they suck right now.. Geez
May 7, 200521 yr *Checks Date* *Does Nothing* 765582 Yeah it's only May, but they SUCK right now, and are VERY old and have NO minor league talent to trade. That's a problem, I'd say they need to hit the "worry" button right now, and in about a month, if things are better, time to really panic.

That being said, they would be fools to move any of their youngsters. They need to build that farm up again
May 7, 200521 yr They may be old...but those old guys are damn good. Plus they still have the lineup to do damage.
May 7, 200521 yr Once Matsui goes from hitting .250 to hitting .290-.300, and once Womack gets on base more and steals, we are in good shape.... I believe the pitching can work its way around and turn it around.... and as the Ladies Man once said, It is the fault of the Wang.... you can't win ballgames if you have AA and AAA guys on the mound... Johnson should hopefully be back in 2 weeks the latest, and I haven't kept track of Wright's timetable but it should be a few more weeks, Pavano needs his FL stuff again while Tom Gordon all of a sudden can't hold down the fort... It is highly unlikely the Yankees play all 162 as if they are the next Detroit Tigers Jason Giambi is a whole other story.... don't know whats in the future for him
May 7, 200521 yr Pavano isn't the biggest problem, the Brown/Johnson/Wright trio are the biggest problem
May 7, 200521 yr Pavano isn't the biggest problem, the Brown/Johnson/Wright trio are the biggest problem 765850 Johnson not being the pitcher he has been for his career is the biggest problem (and biggest worry, because if he's now a 14-9 pitcher, what do they have?), but the fact that Pavano and Wright aren't living up to their contracts and Brown can't get anyone out are the factors most directly contributing to the failure. If one of those three (and Mussina, too) pitched like they were supposed to (not expected to, expectations were just too unrealistically high), they'd probably be a .500 team, because bad pitching really seems to be contagious when everything's going wrong.
May 8, 200521 yr The Yankees need to stop being cheap and start spending money on big free agents. :plain
May 8, 200521 yr Can we have Brian Roberts? 766549 No. BWHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHA!
May 8, 200521 yr Hopefully Brown was so relieved after todays game, he decided to punch the dugout wall. :mischief
May 8, 200521 yr yanks have their first series win since i cant remember time for new york to throw a parade.
May 8, 200521 yr And the first game vs the A's we blew later in the game.... so technically we had all 3 won this weekend

May 8, 200521 yr Yay. They shutout one of the worst offenses in baseball. Good job. 767077 One of the worst offense in baseball?? Oakland is a *gasp* MONEYBALL SYSTEM!!! Could it be that Billy's system isn't foolproof after all? :mischief

Anyway, what worries me most is when the Yankees get hot and start winning, ESPN will quintuple the coverage for them. :plain
