May 16, 200521 yr We haven't seen LeBron in the playoffs. D-Wade is clutch, not to mention humble. I'll take him over LeBron anyday. Lebron James=TMac 774221[/snapback] Lebron isnt humble? And to say Lebron=T-Mac is f***ing ignorance.
May 16, 200521 yr the homerism on the board is amazing I have no problem if you think Wade is better than Lebron, but some of your guys' reasoning is idiotic
May 16, 200521 yr I went with Wade even though Lebron is Bad Ass I just think he is one man show. And that will get him nowhere in NBA refer to Kobe Bryant last season. Without shaq what is he just a leading scorer that is it no wins. WADE!!!

Wade looks unselfish because he has a 50th greatest player on his team and a far superior supporting class. Put Shaq on the Cavs and they win 65 games.
May 16, 200521 yr Lebron for now due to his sick abilities and being younger, but I would like to see what he can do in the playoffs. Wade demonstrating he can carry his team and have the ball when the game is on the line.
May 16, 200521 yr And Im pretty sure many experts, former players, and current players, etc. have praised Lebron as well. He just isnt on the big stage right now. Sorry it took me so long to reply, but that is another reason I think Wade is better: He made the playoffs! He has single-handedly carried the team through the past 2 games wheb Shaq was out. Also, how do you think we went 8-3 without Shaq? :whistle

Or that the front office didnt acquire anyone to help him?
May 16, 200521 yr Even though Bron somehow found a way to miss the East playoffs, he is a better player and will have a greater career than D Wade but you really cant lose choosing between them

He does have Ilgauskas who is the second best center in the eastern conference, and IMO it's the only position on the floor where you can say the Heat have a substantial advantage. The situation in Cleveland is not nearly as bad as the situation as New Orleans or Charlotte, and the Cavs were the #3 seed for a long period of time, so it had more to do with a catastrophic collapse than a shortcoming of talent. The Cavs' quartet of James-Ilgauskas-Gooden-McInnis (their top 4 scorers) scored exactly the same average number of points per game as Miami's top 4 of Wade-O'Neal-Jones-Jones, an average of 71.3 points per game (eerie). And Gooden and McInnis averaged more points per game than Eddie and Damon Jones (27.2 PPG to 24.3 PPG), so it's not as if Wade's dealing with superior players at multiple positions. I'm not saying Lebron should have won an NBA title with this team, or made it past the second round of the playoffs, or even to the second round of the playoffs, but when your top four starters average the exact same number of points as the #1 seed's top 4, you should at least make the playoffs as the 8 seed. The fact that Lebron couldn't do that makes me think that the debate of who is the better player is less clear cut than one thinks.

We have proved that many times this season to people who think that that is out whole team.
May 16, 200521 yr Look who the Heat have played without Shaq: Boston at home (pre Antoine Walker) @ Indiana (Loss) Orlando at home @ Orlando Chicago at home @ Memphis (blowout loss) Detroit at home (Wade had like 6 in loss) Then they won the two playoff games. I hate taking away from D-Wade but it is ludicrous to say that without Shaq this Miami team could have easily made the playoffs especially when Wade hasn't proved he could carry a team consistently against quality opponents while LeBron had his team on a terrific pace before off-court problems derailed them.
May 16, 200521 yr The Heat could have made the playoffs without Shaq. Not as the #1 seed, but there were not 8 teams in the East better than the Heat minus Shaq anyway/ Last year the Heat were a 4 seed without Shaq and D-Wade wasn't like he was this year. I say without Shaq the heat would have been in the lower bracket of the playoffs but they would have made it.
May 16, 200521 yr I would rather have LeBron than Wade, and I am a huge Wade/Heat fan. This is not a knock on Wade at all, but IMO LeBron is the greatest natural talent to have ever touched a basketball in my lifetime, especially at the age of 20. It seems as if both have a great work ethic, and there is a lot of time before we can say LeBron is/will be as good as Jordan or any other legend, and the same can go for Wade. There is also a lot of time before we can say that LeBron or Wade was better throughout their career. However, Wade is three years older than LeBron, although both are only in their second year. But if you take that into account, especially since LeBron is so young, if you compare them both at 23, LeBron will most likely have made the playoffs and his numbers will be even more outrageous. At 6'8'', 245, he is probably going to get a little bigger and his frame can hold it. He is the best jumper in the league and while his defense needs to improve, judging by his shot improvement, he will work hard at it. Either way, with both players you won't lose and both will be and maybe already are, top five players in the league for years to come. This is just my opinion, and I could see some logic from the opposite side, since Wade has shown such amazing composure at such a young age on a big stage. Even last year he carried us in the playoffs to the second round, as a rookie, largely with a team of lesser talent than Kobe's Lakers this year. Take it for what it's worth.
May 16, 200521 yr The most important thing to remember is each of these players will hopefully be perennial superstars in this league for the next 12-15 years. Either one of them could win the MVP in any given year. Nothing to take away from Wade but LeBron is such a physical freak and to have the type of statistical year at age 20 that he had is unheard of and ridiculous.
May 17, 200521 yr Author Wade has something that Jordan had and Lebron lacks which is winning aura. Wade will be the next MJ while Lebron might put up great stats but Wade will be the greater player. This winning aura is what seperated those other pretenders from MJ and only Wade come close to MJ in that sense.
May 17, 200521 yr as good as MJ? what a sacrilage. I guess some of you didn't see MJ play for the entire 90s decade

May 17, 200521 yr The Cavs would have made the playoffs if they didnt like a bunch of stupid idiots fire Paul Silas in midseason.
