Yahoo! Sports Game Preview

The Florida Marlins will try to extend their season-high winning streak to seven games and complete a three-game sweep of the Philadelphia Phillies.

Florida has been finding ways to win during its current streak, winning three games by one run, including Tuesday's 4-3 victory.

The Marlins found themselves down 3-0 heading into eighth inning before rallying. Damion Easley tied the game with a two-out homer off Billy Wagner in the ninth inning, and Carlos Delgado's RBI double in the 10th gave the Marlins the win.

``Obviously you don't want to put any extra pressure on yourself,'' Delgado said. ``But everybody likes to come up with the big hit in the right situation. ... We never quit. We're a good team.''

The Marlins have continued to get solid pitching and timely hitting.

``We're warriors. Everybody on this team is a warrior,'' said Marlins starter Josh Beckett, who went seven innings, allowing six hits and three runs. ``We don't have anybody that's just ready to quit after seven innings.''

While Florida has been finding ways to win, the Phillies have been struggling to get victories.

``We're just not getting the job done,'' manager Charlie Manuel said. ``This was our game and we messed it up.''

Philadelphia has dropped three of its last four games.

Tempers briefly flared after Beckett walked Kenny Lofton to lead off the sixth.

Lofton dropped the bat at home plate and started a slow walk toward first base, stopping halfway up the baseline after an agitated Beckett appeared to say something in his direction. Both benches cleared, but no punches were thrown and no one was ejected.
