Was Marlin radio announcer with DVH for a good while and was leading candidate to take Marlin's tv PBP, but accepted ESPN job instead.

Wish I could remember because I've heard him tell the story before of who gave him the nickname... anyway, named after Boog Powell, the old ballplayer.
