June 11, 200521 yr Guys, he wasn't right last year, either. He had a 4.81 ERA as a Fish. This just isn't the situation for him. It doesn't seem like he jibes well with McKeon, and he's a whiner. It's time for him to go.
June 11, 200521 yr question for those who watched on TV, I was listening on radio Was he mixing his pitched or was the SOB being stuborn and throwing Fastball after fatball? It seems he doesn't use his changeup much. 805170 the pitch on the hit that made the game 5-4 was a changeup. and i dont think mota can hit 98, so it's a non-point that he hasnt been hitting 98. his velocity is in the 93-96 range.

I still feel he will be adequate for the setup role
June 11, 200521 yr heck he only threw about 4 pitches I think. It happened so fast I barely had time to scream at him.

June 11, 200521 yr He tanked on purpose. -He wants to make Jack look bad -He wants out -He wants the Marlins to get s*** for him -He wants to then show how dumb the Marlins were for trading him
June 11, 200521 yr He's thrown 95 twice. He has not thrown 98 at all, don't know what pipe dream you got that from. 805187 Mota throws hard, but not Benitez hard. He seems to have some issues we're not aware of, and might do better on another team. :confused BTW, the stadium gun clocked AJ at 99 a couple of times.
June 11, 200521 yr I don't want this guy on the team if he's going to continue this. He was brought here to be a reliable closer and if we really are going to make a playoff run then its obvious that you just cant count on him. If Todd Jones can continue doing what he's doing, then I'm all for trading him away and getting something worthwhile in return.
June 11, 200521 yr Guillermo never felt like a closer to me. I have no information or insight, I'm just talking about vibe. He just never felt like a closer. Benitez felt like a closer. Same with Ooggie and Hoffman. Same with Jones now. I hope I'm making sense.
