It was $39 to get a ball signed at the Lowell signing just a few weeks ago. This is a business and players do not set the prices, the promoter of the event does. The promoter pays the athlete to show up and sign and then the promoter keeps whatever money is made from the signing, this is how it works. $20 is a VERY reasonable price for a Juan Pierre signed ball, hell Juan Encarnacion's prices were $25 for balls and flats at Hollywood Collectibles a couple weeks ago.

June 29, 200521 yr Author I wonder what my sheff game used (with pinetar on it) signed bat is worth then hmm 830652[/snapback] Get it authenticated by PSA/DNA and it's easily worth a couple hundred plus.
June 30, 200521 yr I remember when it used to be free. For instance back in 1997 they would have those Parrandas con los Marlins at Publixes throughout the county I believe every Saturday. And each time a different player would show up. That's how I got my Luis Castillo, Gary Sheffield, Alex Gonzalez, Moises Alou, Livan Hernandez, Edgar Renteria, etc. autographs. And there at the Parranda con los Marlins they would raffle out food vouchers so that you can eat at the stadium whatever they had. Most of the time they had lechon and anything you can think of. I don't know if they continue to do this. I dont think they do though. Another time I remember they gave out a Marlins reclinable couch with the team's logo all over in a raffle. Pretty cool too. I wish I'd won it. But anyway, they don't do this anymore and I guess it's because they are TOO CHEAP. Oh well.
