MVPosey
I voted for the guy who is on pace for 45 HR and 150 RBI 837736 at least show some consistency.... Chase Utley: .305 BA, .911 OPS, 11 HR, 38 RBIs, .778 SB%, #2 at his position in OPS Luis Castillo: .338 BA, .856 OPS, 2 HR, 16 RBIs, .636 SB%, #3 at his position at OPS Castillo has been slightly better defensively ----------------------- Carlos Lee: .270 BA, .891 OPS, 22 HR, 72 RBIs, .900 SB%, #14 at his position in OPS Bill Hall: .283 BA, .865 OPS, 13 HR, 35 RBIs, .889 SB%, #3 at his position in OPS Hall has been much better defensively How can you say Lee goes in over Hall but Utley doesn't go in over Castillo? Iowa
Oh, I think Utley is very deserving. He's a great young ballplayer. I just think someone batting close to .340 and having an OBP over .430 would be hard to be left off. It's a toss up... like I said, both deserving. Different types of ballplayers. This could all be moot because LaRussa could take his boy over both of them. Side note, Utley isn't close to being on Luis' level defensively. And 22 HRs and 72 RBIs says so. Bill Hall is not an all star. 13 HRs and 35 RBIs ain't cutting it.

Grudzielanek has cooled off a bit though.. Hall aint gonna make it IMO.. Carlos Lee stands the better chance and should be on the team. Side note, Utley isn't close to being on Luis' level defensively. 837757 it's a toss up in both scenarios...however, one scenario is a shortstop compared to an outfielder while the other one is two guys at the same position, so that's why you gotta give it to Hall before giving it to Castillo Granted, Lee and Utley should be the two going in (if David Eckstein wasn't leading the voting at short, it would be a different story), because they have the higher LaRussa won't do that...while he extremely biased towards his own players, he never liked having them in the All Star Game, mainly due to the injury risk...his players will likely be the first taken out of the game EDIT: I don't know if that's still true, it was when he was manager with the A's, he may have changed his tune over time but I'm going by what I remember While Utley may not be on Castillo's level defensively, he's still upper tier defensively...aside from Castillo, Grudzielanek, and Counsell, he's the best in defensively in the NL

CardsJimEdmonds15
I'd start Edmonds over Lee 837777 I wouldnt! But I feel Edmonds gives the NL squad a better chance to win than Lee.. LF: Andruw Jones CF: Jim Edmonds RF: Bobby Abreu ^ If ya asked me what I would want :lol
Iowa
Bill Hall only starting half the time at SS doesn't help his case either.. especially since Hall has been starting at 3B lately because of Hardy at short. Hall won't make the team though. He's having a nice year but hes not even close to being as deserving as the majors leading run producer. One could argue Brady Clark or Lyle Overbay are more deserving on the Brewers than Hall. Lee and Cabrera will both be on the all-star team. Take it to the bank. MarlinFan10
72 RBI's is ridiculous, Lee has to be on that roster.

He's been a monster this year, and should start over Lee.

Guest Fritz
Andruw has also been on a tear lately. Don't expect him to hit 12 HRs in 15 games all year. Which is what he did the other week.
Ramp
Chris Capuano or Derrick Turnbow could be the Brewers All Star... not saying he will but he is an option
