July 20, 200521 yr I know this topic will probably be shut down but I have to say it. Lowell is doing freaking awesome this past week, even though I still believe he will be traded. These past two days he looks like a man who doesn't want to be traded. So anyways...GO FISH, and go Mikey...I'm just so happy to see him doing what he does best...hit!!
July 20, 200521 yr Author He's been on fire recently, getting unlucky often hasn't even stopped him. 866123 I agree, this man is playing with heart this whole year...and he might be coming out of this...at least we can hope, because he really is such a good hitter.
July 20, 200521 yr I just hope someone in the front office realizes the mistake they will make by trading him.
July 20, 200521 yr I realize he will make 19 mil in the next 2 years, but in my opinion, I think we should REALLY consider if we want to trade Mike. Maybe it's just the fact that I like the guy, but in my opinion we should NOT trade him.
July 20, 200521 yr I was so mad when he hit a awsome line drive against the Phillies and the pitcher caught it.
July 20, 200521 yr I just hope someone in the front office realizes the mistake they will make by trading him. 866160 That's a good point. Hopefully he can stay hot and the FO rethinks what they are going to do about Mikey
July 20, 200521 yr The best case scenario is for Mike to get on a nice hitting streak and put together a .300 month or two. I'd like to see him stay, but only if he returns to form.
July 20, 200521 yr I'd be really sad to see him go. Especially considering I think he's gonna have an amazing 2nd half. (and starting off well, not to mention)
July 20, 200521 yr As someone who has wanted Lowell traded for a while, I've changed my mind. Trading him to anyone and paying part of his salary is a dumb move. Just trade AJ and Enc in separate packages to maximize their value. Don't let the O's rape us just to get rid of part of Lowell's salary.
July 20, 200521 yr i agree, i dont want mikey to go if we have to pay most of his salary, i would say it would be fair if a team picked up half his contract but anything less than that, lets hold on to him and see if this hot start can turn into a great second half...but he still needs to find his power stroke because a slap hitting 3rd baseman isnt what the fish need
July 20, 200521 yr His bat is starting to swing well (he got robbed on that double play in shallow center lol god I was yelling at my tv). My only concern is his power still isnt there. Hopefully if he hits for average it will come though.
July 20, 200521 yr If he can give me doubles, I'll gladly sit through this home run dry spell. Keep it up Mike!!
