And it's doubtful he would be performing so well on a reconstructed shoulder than before he injured it. If any surgery helped, it was the one to improve his eye sight.
July 31, 200521 yr Contract year or not, it really doesn't matter. The bottom line is he is healthy, hitting in the clutch and outperforming all expectations.
