August 9, 200521 yr Rafael Palmeiro is eligible to return from his 10-day suspension Thursday, but there are questions about whether or not the Orioles want him back. Palmeiro is unlikely to be brought back next season, and with the Orioles out of the playoff picture they could chose to call up Walter Young from Triple-A. Aug. 9 - 9:22 am et -- RotoWorld.com
August 9, 200521 yr  That's just uncalled for, and another blow from the most poorly run organization in baseball.
August 9, 200521 yr Uncalled for? Perhaps Raffy should have thought of that before he took steroids and lied in front of congress. I wouldn't want him on my team either.
August 9, 200521 yr I bet they wouldn't be making such a bold statement if they felt they had a chance at the playoffs. But either way, it would be cool to see them go through with this. And this is coming from a big fan of Texas Rangers baseball during the time he was down there.
August 9, 200521 yr Maybe a wild card contender from the NL East with an injured star 1st baseman could try picking him up?
August 9, 200521 yr The dude should be blackballed. He lied to congress, he lied to the fans, and when he was caught he lied again saying it was the supplements. Why should any organization trust this guy?

Why should any organization trust this guy? 895994[/snapback] For some big reason, I think The Orioles knew about this situation and covered it up. The Law Offices of Peter Angelos have been acting as Raffy's main bully until this suspension.
August 9, 200521 yr If the Orioles actually go through with that, I give their organization credit for finally getting one right.
