The 5 over .500 mark

Featured Replies

Tonight we try to get over that hump of 6 over .500 for the first time since May 30th. This marks the 11th time the marlins have had the opportunity to get to 6 over since that time and they are 0-10.

if theres one non-negative thing to say about the marlins woeful stretch i think that it'd be fair to at least say they haven't gone away. now whether thats their doing or the rest of the teams in the NL we're only 1 1/2 games out of the wild card. and fate is in our own hands. i dont' think you can ask for more as a member of the marlins, or a fan...

plenty have said that its not gonna be easy cause of our schedule coming up in the next month, but i would rather face the teams in front of us than the teams behind us.

tonight we will get to 6 over .500 and continue to climb

go marlins.

yeah i posted this the other day about this topic.

we just cant get above the 5 games over .500 barrier.

this season we were at 10 at the highest, then dropped, and since then we get to 5, then back down to like 2 or 1 game over.. then back up to 5, then back down.

I realized it yesterday when i looked at our record, even having played better since the ASG, and we cant get above 5 games over.

When stocks, i.e., securities, are stuck in a range and then they break through the top number, they tend to increase for quite a while. Hopefully this will happen tonight- break through the "5-over" number and then run off 7-8 straight.

I've been noticing this pattern for a long time and I always fret when we get to a game where we are attempting 6 over .500. It's become such an invisible wall. But tonight, I hope that wall comes down.

We will not win tonight.

Kinda like how we couldn't get any closer than 2 games out of the wild card, until yesterday? :mischief2

We will not win tonight.

Palooktkaville=Patoka, is in southern Illinois, about 60 miles east of St. Louis.

Trying to provide the anti-jinx. I never gurantee victory, and always concede defeat before the event happens.
