August 24, 200520 yr FCC investigating complaint against radio morning show host The Federal Communications Commission is investigating a complaint that WQAM-AM 560 morning-show host Hank Goldberg uttered an obscene term on the air on Jan. 10, according to an Aug. 15 letter from the FCC to station owner Beasley Broadcast Group of Naples. Additionally, the commission is looking into complaints of indecency aired on the Howard Stern Show on both a Fort Myers station, also a Beasley property, and a New York station owned by Infinity Broadcasting. The allegations were filed by Coral Gables lawyer Jack Thompson, an anti-obscenity crusader whose complaints have resulted in hefty fines of radio stations in the past. An FCC spokeswoman said the letters were requests for information from the stations, the routine response to complaints from the public. Beasley could not be reached immediately for comment.

August 24, 200520 yr As much as I'd like to see Fat Hank drawn and quartered the guy who filed this complaint is a chronic troublemaker who seems to have a near pathological need to file complaints with the FCC. He has filed innumerable similar complaints. This is much to do about nothing.
August 24, 200520 yr If he gets Fat Hank.....man would that be a nice kick in the ass for him. As for Thompson, he has set up tape recorders here in Fort Myers to tape Beasley stations here back when they aired Howard Stern on 96 k-rock.
August 24, 200520 yr What the hell is up with that Thompson idiot? Isn't this the same moron who tried to ban GTA and Sims 2? Not that I am trying to defend Goldberg or anything, but seriously.
August 25, 200520 yr the FCC is a bunch of old ladies. what a waste of taxpayer money. although at least someone is still listening to Goldberg....
