September 1, 200521 yr ESPN.com Rolle A Seminole By Henry Gola Scouts, Inc. Roll out the red carpet in Tallahassee. Myron Rolle, rated ESPN's top Class of 2006 prospect, today verbally committed to attend Florida State. He made the announcement live on ESPNEWS and ESPNU. "I'm really excited to make this decision. I'm a guy who believes strongly in education, and this decision was based strongly in academics," said Rolle. "Rolle is the most complete football player in this class," said Scouts, Inc. National Director of Recruiting Tom Luginbill. Rolle chose FSU over Florida, Miami-Fla., Michigan, Oklahoma and Penn State. He had narrowed his choices to six earlier this summer. "Florida State is known for having the ultimate playmakers at their skill positions, and Myron Rolle fits right in," added Luginbill. "He joins a long list of former outstanding FSU playmakers in the secondary like Samari Rolle and Deion Sanders." Rolle's versatility, intelligence and work ethic has made him a prime recruiting target for many college football programs. He rushed for 1,501 yards and 16 TD and recorded 83 tackles, 4 INT and 6 sacks in his junior season at the Hun School of Princeton. "Most importantly, he's got his head in the right place in terms of academics and what he wants in his future away from football," said Luginbill. Rolle has two goals after college -- to make it to the NFL and to be a neurosurgeon. He plans on taking biology and pre-med courses in college and graduating in three years.
September 1, 200521 yr FSU? Academics? :lol :lol :lol Great signing for FSU. I hope he kicks ass, takes names, and chews a little bit of bubble gum.
September 1, 200521 yr Author If he's so interested in academics why's he going to FSU? 925608 I read he liked being in the state capital and Jeb Bush personally called him to invite him over to meet him. I think he feels he will have good opportunity to learn first hand politically.
September 2, 200521 yr Are he and Antrelle related? 925636 No. Just because you're black and have the same last name. Then again, the amount of talented CBs named Rolle is a bit of a coinky dink.

It was a legit question, considering both Antrelle and Samari are related and both are very good defensive backs, it could easily have been viewed as a family thing.

If some guy named Leinart commited somewhere and was playing QB (both Rolle's played the same position) I might think that they were related, race has nothing do to with it.
September 2, 200521 yr damn it i was hoping he would be a cane...oh well his loss...best of luck to him i believe he will bring the noles alot of happiness.
September 2, 200521 yr IMO, from what Ive read and vid clips Ive seen Percy Harvin is the real no. 1 player in the country, and the Noles are in his final 4. I tend to never go with ESPN's recruiting as they have butchered basketball prep coverage for years.

I think ESPN has always had different coverage for football and basketball recruiting services also. I was hoping Rolle and Harvin would land in Miami. I guess only Harvin is a possibility now. Hopefully he and teammate Damon McDaniel both end up at the U. LeSean McCoy is rated as the top RB by many and is said to be very much interested in the U as well. Hopefully Coker pulls off a great class like the Butch Davis days.

September 2, 200521 yr Country's best RB: Chris Wells, commited to tOSU.... And yes, im biased. 925960 All's Wells that ends Wells. We need more RB's named Wells. We'll have 2 at one time and 3 in the last 6 years or so.
September 2, 200521 yr all I have to say it is a long time still. He might change his mind. That RB kid did last year to go to FSU over UM. I wonder if perhaps johnson/erikson/davis will ever be Coach or recruiter for UM. They rocked at it and Koker (sp) seems to lack often at it..
