The only thing I found remotely interesting was the Best Conference (which is clearly the Big 10) and the Team you Love to Hate (Notre Dame for me) otherwise its pretty much odd stuff. Michigan, Wisconsin, and Minnesota will all finish in the Top 25. Purdue may be a team flirting with the edge of the Top 25. So thats 6 quality teams. Iowa and Ohio State will both contend for the National Title this year.

Nuff Said. i cant tell you much about Iowa, but about OSU you know how hard it is to repeat in college sports, especially football? i mean you got to bring it every week, everyone is aiming for you and you have to prevent the success from going to your head. one little failure, glitch and youre done. there are no playoffs where you can make a run, one and done. if Miami, with the talent it had last year cant repeat, FSU couldnt either a few years ago, what makes you think OSU is going to? im not saying its impossible but its extrmemely difficult, not everybody can be like Nebraska

August 13, 200322 yr Author I didn't say that OSU would repeat as champs. I said they are a Top 5 quality team. Yes Dallas Clark got drafted by the Colts. But they have a FREAK to replace the guy, I mean they got a GOOD TE. I'll take the Big Ten before any conference. And so would the voters on the ESPN poll I took. Ohio State just because they beat you guys you don't seem to think they arent good. These guys have all their starters returning. Period. MoClarett will return. With all their starters returning that means these guys will be better then last year barring injuries. Iowa has all of their starters except Dallas Clark and Brad Banks returning. That means look out. Wisconsin is the youngest team in the Big 10 along with Minnesota, Wisconsin and Minnesota will both be Top 25 teams. Michigan unfortunately is always good, and usually in the Top 10. And this year is no exception. Wisconsin I would guess will finish between 15-20. And Minnesota will be 20-25. Purdue will be a borderline team as will Penn St. on the Top 25, those 2 teams will be around the edge of the Top 25. The Big 12 has 3 teams in the Top 5. What do they have besides that? Because Texas is overrated in my opinion.

August 13, 200322 yr Oklahoma St is considered by many to be a team that is on the rise. Texas A&M have a couple of great young qbs, especially Reggie McNeal and with the addition of Coach Fran, will be on the rise. Nebraska will be right around the top 25 all year long. Colorado even with losing Chris Brown, still figures to be a top 25 team. Texas Tech will put points on the board....whether their defense will do anything...we dont know for certain. Missouri has a nice young quarterback in Brad Smith and may flirt with teh top 25. Granted, Kansas and Baylor are the bottom of the barrel in teh conference but all conferences have these... Iowa State has falled on some hard times and will struggle this year. Still the Big XII is lethal. And the best in the nation.
August 13, 200322 yr as far as iowa....i dont know who the hell you are talking about at tight end. the only guy i see is a freshman. if iowa is hoping a freshman can take them back to a bcs game....he better be the best thing since sliced bread.
August 13, 200322 yr Rashun Woods will give Roy Williams a run for his money as best reciever in the conference. They might both be top 3 in the nation. The Big XII South, save for Baylor is better than most conferences in college football.
August 13, 200322 yr Author Its not a Freshmen for Iowa at TE. My Dad is an Iowa alumnus, and I'm a Hawkeye HATER (im a badger so i have to hate the hawks), these guys are gonna be good. They got an awesome RB and a great Defense. That alone will contend for the Big 10.
August 13, 200322 yr Big 10 is not that great at all and Iowa's not even going to be a top 25 team this year. Big XII is going to be the best conference they could easily end up with more than half of there teams in the top 25.
August 14, 200322 yr um phlub do you even know what you are talking about? dallas clark is with the redskins ive spent alot of time on the hawkeye report website and not one insider or reporter thinks they are top 5 material or NC contender. now, will they be a top 25, yep. you have to be ignorant not to think the big 12 isint the best ever/present
August 14, 200322 yr Author My Dad is unfortunately a Hawkeye and he breathes the Hawkeyes and was an asst. coach or trainer or something with them a few years ago and he told me they have this really good TE thats gonna surprise everyone. My Dad knows football better then anyone I know and he's taught me all the X's and O's of the game and hes barely ever wrong. So I'm just taking his word for it on the TE.
