Question for those of you Knowledgeable..

Featured Replies

My brother was able to score the official lineup card from Friday nights game (Dontrelle's win #19, breaking the franchise record) from a grounds-crew member working by the dugout whom he bribed. My brother, being a Mets fan, has no interest in keeping it and wanted to know about how much it might be worth.

Any insight would be appreciated...

Ya its probably not worth much...get an auto somehow..then its prob worth some more, but the problem is odds are Dontrelle is going to get more wins this year making this card basically meaningless

Honestly, it could be worth a lot and it couldn't.

A basic lineup card from a game isn't worth the paper it's written on unless the game had some sort of significance. Like the lineup cards from World Series, playoff, and allstar games sell for hundreds of dollars. Lineup cards from games where a player broke a record or something of that sort are also worth a ton. But lineup cards from just any old game aren't worth much at all.

BUT, you're lucky. This lineup card is from Dontrelle's 19th career win which is a milestone because that win set the new Marlins franchise record when he passed Carl Pavano for 18 wins. If you got it signed by the D-Train and then a little note written by him like "Win #19" or something, it could be worth about 50 bucks or so, but un-signed it's not worth much.

In Sports Memorobilia it's only worth what the market will bear. Seriously? I'd say put it up for 15 bucks on Ebay and see what it does. But, without any kind of authenticity card or signatures you'll be hard pressed to get any real dough.

Depends on what people want.

I bought the line-up card from Beckett's first shut-out for $125, but it was framed and signed by Beckett and McKeon.

If you're interested in selling the D-Train one, I'm down, but since it isn't signed, or matted, and it's the Mets' lineup card, not the Marlins one, it's worth substantially less.
