Posted September 6, 200519 yr The Nationals are going to start a rookie in Tuesdays game. A righty Darrell Rasner that went 6-7 with a 3.59 ERA at Double A this season. The article on Yahoo sports states that Armas is dropped from the rotation for now and Drese is done for the year due to surgery. That doesn't give the Nationals a 4 or 5 pitcher. I hope the Marlins can gain some ground on DC.
September 6, 200519 yr Our offense will make him look like the second coming of Nolan Ryan. 931794[/snapback]Â Sad but true
September 6, 200519 yr yeah that kid has one of two fates after tomorrow night... a) he is heralded as a future Cy Young Winner (possibly even for 2005) b) he's back at Triple A before I come on here to update this thread...

September 6, 200519 yr As I pointed out in the other thread, he's a sinker ball pitcher which is the type Marlins' batters have had the most trouble against. However RFK and the Nats defense isn't too kind to their own sinker ball pitchers either.
September 6, 200519 yr nope...not just enough to stay in the bigs... he either pitches a 2 hit shutout or we romp him 15-0
September 6, 200519 yr We all know how the Marlins play against these mediocre pitchers no one has heard of....

But their range at the middle infield leaves a lot to be desired and tend to hurt their groundball pitchers.
