Posted September 7, 200519 yr Introducing the iPod Nano Take everything you love about iPod and shrink it. Now shrink it again. With 2GB (500 songs) and 4GB (1,000 songs) models starting at $199, the pencil-thin iPod nano packs the entire iPod experience into an impossibly small design. So small, it will take your music places you never dreamed of. iPod nano comparison Believe Your Ears Call it astonishing. Unbelievable. Impossible, even. Then pick it up and hold it in your hand. Take in the brilliant color display. Run your thumb around the Click Wheel. Put on the earbuds and turn up your music. That?s when everything becomes clear: It?s an iPod. It holds up to three days? worth of music. It plays for up to 14 hours between battery charges.(1) It displays the color album art for the song you?re listening to right now. It carries your photos, podcasts and audiobooks. It syncs seamlessly with iTunes. It connects to a host of iPod accessories. Simply put, iPod nano is 100-percent iPod. And then some. Touch and Go Apple Click Wheel iPod nano?s Click Wheel puts music under your thumb. Click to fast-forward, rewind, play, pause or access menus. Use the touch-sensitive surface to control volume or browse music. You can do it all without looking. But with an iPod this beautiful, who?d want to? iPod Dock Connector Song Stylings Add accessories to your iPod nano via the Dock connector and headphone jack and your music will always keep up with you ? at home, on the go, even in your car. Of course, in either signature white or sleek black, iPod nano itself makes the ultimate accessory. iPod nano Armband Up to 4GB(2) of skip-free storage on a featherweight iPod means you can wear almost three days? worth of music around your neck. Or jog with 1,000 songs on your arm. Now that you can take your music everywhere, there?s no limit to where it will take you. Its nice, but $200 for a 2G version is kind of steep isn't it? Anyways, I'll wait till they update the Mini with a color screen before buying a new iPod.
September 7, 200519 yr People will buy it blindly because its Apple and fail to realize there are better products out there.
September 7, 200519 yr Author I just noticed that the Mini no longer appears on the Apple website. If this is going to replace the Mini, I might as well trade in my 6G and pay the extra $50 for the 20 GB version with color screen. I'm kinda disappointed
September 7, 200519 yr Kinda dumb idea. I'm still mad at Apple about waiting after I got my 20 GB to make one with a color display.
September 7, 200519 yr I dont understand how making something smaller is taken in as a good thing so now instead of having a single Ipod in your pocket, you can fit the Ipod Nano and that wonderful comb your uncle gilbert gave you

September 8, 200519 yr Author Kinda dumb idea. I'm still mad at Apple about waiting after I got my 20 GB to make one with a color display. 933753 You should have bought it at Best Buy and gotten the extended warrenty. :mischief

September 8, 200519 yr Damn that's nice, but expensive. I bought a 20 Gig Creative Nomad off of Creative's ebay store for $185 after shipping. It's a bit bulky but works like a charm, very happy with it so far.

The one thing I have always wanted was a built in radio in ipods. Yeah, they have accessories, but they're bulky and just make the ipod huge.
September 8, 200519 yr Author Maybe when they introduce the 5th Gen iPods later or earlier next year, they'll finally (and somehow) include a FM modulator into it. Of course it could be wishful thinking :whistle
September 8, 200519 yr I like creative...only problem is that they don't offer ALL of their products in the damn US :confused They have 4/5/6 GB models of these (I believe) Zen Micro, Zen Neeon... I wanted to wait and get a 20 GB model...but it still has not come out yet... *something I JUST NOW found* :mischief2 :thumbup $269.99 20GB Rechargeable 16-Hour Battery ? FM Radio ? Voice Recorder ? Vertical Touch Pad ? 2" Screen
September 9, 200519 yr iRiver makes the best MP3 players out there 935020 Can you provide some info on iRiver? Thanks!

September 12, 200519 yr IPOD Nano Review http://arstechnica.com/reviews/hardware/nano.ars/3 For the record, it is more or less indestructable. They ran it over with a car, the display broke but it still played and the scroll wheel still worked.
September 12, 200519 yr They literally replaced mini with nano. Same price, give or take, and it's a smaller version of the regular IPOD. Good thing I got my girl the mini before they took it off the shelves.
September 12, 200519 yr http://www.mobibluamerica.com/dah1500.html# I thought the nano was small... 941692 What is that, nano Gamecube?
