Hollyberry
Luis Castillo, 2B Jeff Conine, LF Miguel Cabrera, 3B Carlos Delgado, 1B Juan Encarnacion, RF Damion Easley, SS Juan Pierre, CF Matt Treanor, C A.J. Burnett, P Jeff Conine has crushed Lidle in his career (Over .500 batter average- I think) so I dont mind that Hermida is having a day off :thumbup
TSwift25
At some point, Andino has to get a start. Easley's going to cost us a game with his glove sooner or later...

TSwift25
Plus I'm not so sure that you want to throw Hermida to the wolves that are fans in Philly. Let him take it in for a day, and hopefully Conine'll swing a good bat tonight.
djm305
I wonder why Willingham doesn't get a start at catcher..... I'd like to see what he can do in a starting role...

I'd like to see what he can do in a starting role... 936755 I would like to see Willingham but this series is too important to put out a rookie catcher that pretty much came up from AAA. Treanor has been working with our pitchers for about a year and I trust him alot more than Willy right now. I rather have a catcher who is familiar with our pitchers than a catcher with some pop. Admin
On days facing leftys, if Delgado needs a day off, you could have a combo of LF Conine/1B Willingham, LF Willingham/1B Conine...and it would be good to rest Dook for a week or so, so Willy might get a start at C this week. Everlong204
Now watch Conine go 0-4 today, i just see it. 936770 but he's a phillie killer :mischief
Mabdul Doobakus
Phillies fans still have nightmares about that Wednesday night game at the Vet in late 2003 where Conine just went nutso against them. Had a big HR, and made at least 2 spectacular game-saving catches. The Phillies fear Conine. As they should...

Shamrock
9ner continues to bash Lidle's brains.
farmer_fran
you have to play 9er against the Phils, he is the official Phillies-killer. We all know how their fans hate him. :lol
rferry
So something has to be done about this defense. It hasn't been that great all year, ranking 23rd in outs per balls in play, but with Easley out there and Conine and Pierre to a lesser extent we're giving away too many hits.
