I can't say it enough. This is the BEST offensive website I've ever visited. I visit it and I feel dirty and ashamed... And yet! I'm laughing my ASS off! I mean, SOOOO many taboo subjects are broached, there's 9/11 stuff, there's just so much. And yet, there's Conan O'Brien stuff and some great Tiger handheld jokes.

BEST offensive website ever.

WARNING: Some material is not for children and some material will offend. You have been warned.

Check this out for an example of the website's "humor":

You're the man now dog!

hahaha, yeah that website is GOLD. I love the butt racing ones and the Mike Tyson's Punchout fads that took the site by storm.

Conan Raves

:lol :lol

Laura Bush

Damn, she's about as dumb as her husband is.

Yeah, the Vesti has used this site for a few years now. It'd make 100% more sense posting this on the joke boards, but whatever.

My favorite.

Actually, what sparked this was a "It's raining men" montage of guys jumping from the 9/11 towers. I couldn't decide if it had gone too far. I mean, of course, it went TOO far, but...

There's a school of thought that under some circumstances anything can be funny. This is what allows Jewish comedians to joke about the holocaust, blacks to talk about racism in a funny way, etc.

Now would this fall under that category, or would that be null and void because it just pushes the envelope too much. I'm not going to lie, I chuckled, then felt bad about it for five seconds, then chuckled again, and felt bad again.

Are there limits on what can be considered funny?

I'd say the tragedies of African slavery and the Holocaust were far, far worse than tragedy of 9/11...if we're ranking bad things that could be potential sources for humor. Here's the thing about humor...it some (many?) cases making light (another ex. is self-deprecating humor) of a serious and sad situation can serve to alleviate an involved indivual's psyche. There's some healing quality in humor. However, the wounds of 9/11 may be too fresh for many to find something like "it's raining men" funny.

This is actually a very good question? I took a stupid class at FIU not too long ago that was about just this question.(it was a class about comedy) I think theres nothing that is completely sacred that it cant be made fun of. Now the question of poor taste is determined by picking the audience i would say. For example if someone says a racist joke in poor taste one may find it funny but feel ashamed to laugh bc of moral retsraints. The question never did get answerd in class in a definite way and perhaps it cannot be

My personal belief is that nothing is too offensive as long as the audience has the option to not watch/hear/see it.

Just because I find something offensive doesn't mean someone else shouldn't have the right to see it.
