August 16, 200321 yr Pujols gives it a ride, but its caught in left for out number 2. Looks like this one is all but over, Tino will walk up with 1 out left.
August 16, 200321 yr Game over, but we're going to keep pace with the phills hopefully we can put some distance on the other teams though.

August 16, 200321 yr Great Game tonight. I was at the top GA seat over looking homeplate. Best seat in the house if you ask me and I'm not being sarcastic. Rolen got it hard tonight as we did not have J.D. Drew in the lineup. Thome's shot was just awesome but he did not answer The Curtain Call. Just thought I would share my experiences.

August 16, 200321 yr We arent the only team that gets bad umpire work. Yanks just got a HR from Boone and the Umps caled it foul at first then the home plate Ump said Fair! yanks lead 5-3. Hargrove is going nuts and got ejected.
August 16, 200321 yr why is this funny? The Dodgers probably wont beat out SF for the division but they have a good shot for the Wild Card. The Cubs beat Houston and I dont think they will win the Wild Card. Its just my opinion so dont start talking BS. I agree that the Dodgers are a bigger threat than the Cubs. I have not yet considered the chance of the Cubs winning the wild card. The Cubs? I don't think so. The Dodgers? Maybe. I'm hoping the Cubs take 2. A sweep by either team could be dangerous.
August 16, 200321 yr Just a thought.....I'm glad I keep seeing SF in the loss column. Sure they are losing to Montreal, but lets look at this from out perspective. Montreal is too banged up to make a big run, and SF is leading the west. If they start losing some games and we keep winning, we could have home field advantage in the first round instead of having to start on the road. In a best three out of five set, that would be huge.
August 16, 200321 yr wouldnt the wild card, no matter what, start on the road? or is it by record? By record. Marlins example: we had home field advantage to start the 97 playoffs.
