October 15, 200519 yr You say the ''The Finest Teams in South Florida.'' How about all of florida, is south florida a different country??
October 15, 200519 yr is south florida a different country??  Sure feels different than the rest of Florida, that's for sure...
October 15, 200519 yr Author No, its just that all those team play in South Florida.... Who gives a flying (you know what) anyway. And if you have been to many areas in Florida, you'll know that South Florida is like a different country compared to other parts of Florida.
October 15, 200519 yr I know the northern and some of the central parts of Florida look alot like Illinois. Even the approach to Orlando looks alot like going west from here towards st. louis.
October 15, 200519 yr Florida is part of the south and starts somewhere in Palm Beach County. Below that is South Florida, which is its own region.
October 16, 200519 yr Whats CRAP, is that ''south florida'' cant fill the seats, they should call the stadium, Orange stadium, becuase every time I watched the games on espn, I felt so Embarrassed becuase it looked liked we had about 800 people in the stadium, all that you saw was this sea of Orange. By the way, the fans will not change, next year we might get lucky and fill the stadium up with 100 people.

October 16, 200519 yr Florida is part of the south and starts somewhere in Palm Beach County. Below that is South Florida, which is its own region.  As Jeff DeForrest says on the radio "once you leave Palm Beach County you start hearing banjo music." In Florida, as they say, "the more north you go the more south you get." There is also the divisive fact that the good ol' boys network in Tallahassee has never given a crap about South Florida.

And what's the rest of the state been ranked in attendance? NBA- Orlando 26 (02-03) 27 (03-04) 27 (04-05) NHL- Tampa Bay 25 (00-01) 20 (01-02) 16 (02-03) 12 (03-04) NFL- Tampa Bay 16 (2001) 18 (2002) 20 (2003) 21 (2004) NFL- Jacksonville 21 (2001) 30 (2002) 31 (2003) 14 (2004) Want to know another fun fact? In every season in every sport except 3 in the NHL South Florida out-drew its Florida brethren. And the years they didn't, the Lightning were winning division titles while the Panthers were garnering number one overall picks. Even in a season where the Dolphins finish 3-13 and seasons where the Heat had nothing did South Florida outdraw the rest of the state. So, if South Florida can only put "800" people in the seats, would the rest of the state even show up at all?
October 18, 200519 yr The guy who said the orange stadium nonsense, where are you from? Either way the 'rest of florida' is not crap. It's a different system of living in those parts, not as urban, different economic schemes etc. Why does anyone need to insult other people on a thread about dontrelle
October 18, 200519 yr Im from the west central part of florida, iv been to miami two times, and dont think much of the place, the atlatic ocean is great, but to say that miami is great and everything above miami or south florida is crap, is in fact 100% BS.
October 18, 200519 yr Author It was just his opinion, but I agree. I mean the Northern area of Florida is nice, but it is hard to compare to when u got nicer areas like Jupiter Island, Palm Beach, Star Island, and all the wealthier areas in South Florida. Im sure theres more money in those areas than there is the majority of Northern Florida
