December 12, 200520 yr Caddy is a lock for no other reason than the fact he got the media coverage. Dude, seriously...Every media outlet and newspaper I've seen had Ronnie as the ROY...
December 12, 200520 yr lock? how? cadillac rushing: 223 rushes, 924 yards, 4.14 yards per carry receiving: 16 receptions, 67 yards, 4.19 yards per catch 991 all purpose yards ronnie 187 rushes, 841 yards, 4.50 yards per carry 28 receptions, 208 yards, 7.43 yards per catch 1049 all purpose yards hehe Bucs 9-4 Dolphins 6-7 (I think) Cadillac has been our team MVP this year. He is ROY.

He is ROY. Wrong. Your MVP has been Ronde Barber or Joey Galloway.
December 12, 200520 yr He isn't a lock though. lock? how? cadillac rushing: 223 rushes, 924 yards, 4.14 yards per carry receiving: 16 receptions, 67 yards, 4.19 yards per catch 991 all purpose yards ronnie 187 rushes, 841 yards, 4.50 yards per carry 28 receptions, 208 yards, 7.43 yards per catch 1049 all purpose yards hehe Bucs 9-4 Dolphins 6-7 (I think) Cadillac has been our team MVP this year. December 12, 200520 yr LOL. Citing a team's record is a HUGE stretch for ROY. I don't know how if that has any bearing on ROY, to be honest. It's ALL about stats with rookies
December 12, 200520 yr Our 4 losses @NYJ L 14-12 Did Not Play @SF L 15-10 13 20 1.5 15 0 1 5 5.0 5 0 0 0 CAR L 34-14 11 29 2.6 7 0 3 25 8.3 15 0 1 1 12 CHI L 13-10 20 84 4.2 17 0 2 7 3.5 9 0 0 0 LOL. Tie goes to the player on the good team.
December 12, 200520 yr He sucked really hard in a few of your losses. One game against a 2-win team and the other against a good defense. Way to keep up that intensity.

ROY in football is not decided by record. I think you're mixing up NBA and NFL.

December 12, 200520 yr He sucked really hard in a few of your losses. One game against a 2-win team and the other against a good defense. Way to keep up that intensity. He was still hurt. He did pretty well against that same Carolina team today didn't he? Meh. The only time Ronnie's been hurt was a bit of a hamstring tweak in the Panthers game. That game he had 132 yards and a TD. I guess some know when to bring it and others don't. Hopefully they both remain healthy though. I hate the "he was hurt, OMG!" argument. Injuries are a part of the game, unless you're the Patriots, in which case ESPN makes sure to let you know injuries only happen to the Pats.

Results of an MRI are expected later tonight."

Yes injuries are part of the game, but he didn't play well because he was playing injured. Cadillac has put up very good stats, while leading his team to the playoffs, therefore he is ROY. It isn't a lock though.
December 12, 200520 yr I refuse to listen to your ROY credentials unless you stop using 'team record' as a factor. There are WAY too many people involved on a team to say that your rookie was the one who 'led' them.

Record does have somthing to do with ROY.
December 12, 200520 yr He was still hurt. He did pretty well against that same Carolina team today didn't he? eh. 29 carries, 112 yards, 3.86 yards per carry that's an okay game.

December 12, 200520 yr when cadillac got hurt, missed two games and struggled for a few games after that as a result, Brown pulled ahead...since Cadillac became healthy, he's taken the lead right back cadillac has 83 more yards and one more TD in 2 less games...he's rushed for 100 yards 5 times, while Brown has only done it twice...Cadillac has averaged 84 rushing yards a game, while Brown has averaged only 65 on top of that, Cadillac has been much more valuable to his team...without him, the Bucs lost to the friggin Niners (yes he played, but he was still hurt)...without Brown, the Dolphins would still beat the Niners easily in Cadillac's top 6 rushing games, the Bucs are 6-0...in other games, they are 3-4...in Brown's top 6 rushing games, the Dolphins are 2-4...in other games, they are 4-3 if you wanna bring up yards per carry, consider that: 1. the more carries a guy has in a particular game, they less yards per carry they'll have 2. take away the games Williams was hurt (weeks 4, 8, 9, and 10 where had 82 yards in 45 carries), he has 842 yards in 178 carries for an average of 4.7 yards per carry, which beats Browns' 4.5...so in the 7 games he was healthy, he has 1 more yard and 1 more TD in 9 less carries and touchdowns in less carries than Brown, and that's in 6 fewer games...he's averaged 120 yards in those 7 games, while Brown has only reached that once all year (he's only reached half that 6 times) this is no contest...more yards and TDs in 2 less games...Cadillac is obviously ROTY He was still hurt. He did pretty well against that same Carolina team today didn't he? eh. 29 carries, 112 yards, 3.86 yards per carry that's an okay game. for him, yes...for Brown, it's a great game

God, you're an idiot. Don't step into the kitchen unless you know what's cooking.
December 12, 200520 yr Felo you're fighting a losing battle. Ronnie is on the fast track to the ROY unless he doesn't horribly these last 3 games
December 12, 200520 yr Wait, you just took out Caddy's worst 4 games and he still only beat Brown's ypc by 0.2. I'm not going to get in the middle of this. Both guys are great players and either would be a deserving ROY. But MaysBonds, you can't say it's no contest if you want to be taken seriously.
December 12, 200520 yr Felo you're fighting a losing battle. Ronnie is on the fast track to the ROY unless he doesn't horribly these last 3 games Ronnie isn't on the fast track to ROY, and if you think him playing on a bad team while Caddy playing on a playoff team won't hurt his chances you are sadly mistaken. All this arguing is pointless, we will find out who wins the award when it is annoucned. Frankly you can have your ROY, I will take my playoffs.
December 12, 200520 yr I think Kyle Orton is gonna win Edit: n/m just saw he has more picks than tds.
