November 6, 200519 yr Since when can Michael Vick pass? Falcons offense just marching down the field. :banghead Have you watched Atlanta play at all this year? Um ya, Vick has been one of the worst passers in the league this season. Well I guess we were a fluke. Carolina is playing over their heads right now. And the Bucs are a totally different team with Griese...that loss really hurt them. How is Carolina, the team most people picked to represent the NFC in the Superbowl, playing over their heads? They are either playing over their heads or the Bucs defense just hasn't shown up today. No one should be pushing around the Bucs D like this. I think Carolina is a damn good team, but 34 points on the Bucs defense? Not that good.

Well actually its 17, Simms fumbled and gave them 3 points too.
November 6, 200519 yr How's it goin FeLo...your a bucs fan? Just curious how does a redneck in Southern Illinois become a Panthers fan?
November 6, 200519 yr Gotta wonder why Sage hasn't gotten a chance....Gus, all you had to do was be ADEQUATE, DECENT, AVERAGE...You can't even pull that off.
November 6, 200519 yr How's it goin FeLo...your a bucs fan? Just curious how does a redneck in Southern Illinois become a Panthers fan? I'm not a Panther fan as much as a Jake Delhomme fan. But thats besides the point. How did a northern Illinois canuck become a Buc fan?
November 6, 200519 yr i hate gus frerrote a lot also, run the f***ing ball!!!!!! you know gus cant play for sh*t!! and giving up an 8 yard carry on 3rd and 6 in that situation?!! f***!!!!
November 6, 200519 yr On 3rd and 2 we should have run that ball with Ronnie, no questions or hesitations. Why would you put the game in Frerotte's hands when Brown was coming through all day is beyond me.
November 6, 200519 yr alright Spike where's your excuses for Vick's good game today?? Umm he had one good game. He is still one of the worst passers in the league.

He is one of the worst passers in the league, but he is not one of the worst QBs. 1 minute left 3rd and goal for the Jets Chargers 31 Jets 26 Chargers hold, Chargers win.

November 6, 200519 yr Does anyone know if the lady in the Campbells soup commercials is really McNabb's mom? I'm directing this ? at you FFIPA, I really want to know.
November 6, 200519 yr Awesome...I want to meet her, seems like a sweet lady. Reminds me of my friend Landry from basic training, his mom. They are from New Orleans tho, and I'm happy to report they made it out before Katrina.
November 6, 200519 yr I just got back from the Dolphins game, and the whole thing was just inexplicable. I can't understand for the life of me why they continue to throw the ball so much. It seems like they lean more and more on Gus with each passing week, as he continues to get worse and worse. Last week was the only exception. Gus has NO confidence right now, and I don't know why we should have any confidence in him. You could see it in his body language on third downs...he just knew there was no way they were going to pick it up. Key stat of the game has to be 3rd down conversions. Dolphins didn't convert a SINGLE third down--not even one--in 9 chances. The Falcons were a ridiculous 11-16...and a lot of those were 3rd and long. The defense just couldn't make a play on 3rd down, couldn't get their asses off the field. And finally, an interesting stat...in ALL 5 of our losses this year, the defense let up a TD before the offense even set foot on the field. This is hard to do. For one, we had to lose the coin toss in each of those games. And for two, the defense has to let the offense march down a long field, about 70-80 yards. Key to next week's game? Win the coin toss.

I agree with everything you say. Gus is just done--nothing left from that guy. Defense did a good job, but ultimately just let Atlanta march down the field a few times. But the Dolphins DID convert a 4th down on their final drive.

Agreed. I'm also furious about not running on 3rd and 2 on the ATL 10. I could understand if we were pinned deep, but we had all the damn momentum and Ricky and Ronnie were both averaging 5+ yards per carry and to have a pass play was absurd. Any competent OC would know better than to pass with Frerotte as the QB in that sitation. Gus is broken and has no confidence and our RBs are just playing lights out. The fact they've only combined for 4 TDs is infuriating. Ronnie should have about 3-4 more simply from running the ball when inside the opposition's red zone. Linehan is pissing me off.
November 7, 200519 yr Chicago area football teams certainly had some late game heroics this weekend........ :mischief
