Posted March 15, 200322 yr i saw this on a nother site and thought it would be fun..... if you were a baseball player and you were stepping up to the plate, what music would you want blasting?
March 15, 200322 yr none... or if any... a traditional organ tune... call me a traditionalist fool...but that distracts from the beauty of the game.
March 15, 200322 yr I know I'm going to hear it for this, but it's like something you'd expect at a WWF match. I just always thought it was a little silly to be watching an intense game, bottom of the 8th with a man on second, Marlins down by a run, Preston Wilson strides up to the plate to face John Smoltz.... and meanwhile...."Who Let the Dogs Out" is blasting over the intercom. I think at times it's okay. It's fine to play something if your stud reliever's coming out of the bullpen, since then the game grinds to a halt anyway while he warms up.
March 16, 200322 yr I'm not too crazy for the music for each of the batters either. I agree with HC on the relief pitcher music though, might as well since nothing else is happening. I have been a bit surprised though. Over the years of low payroll players in South Florida, I'm amazed no one had their theme as "Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap" from AC/DC. Think that would be a good one for a low priced closer or pinch hit specialist. later........
March 16, 200322 yr i will put "X Gonna Give it to ya" or "Who We be...both by DMX If i get bored of those songs my next one will be that Kevin Millar song he had whenhe was a Marlin! That song was good.
March 16, 200322 yr Millar and Redmond always had AC/DC. Lee had Batter Up by Nelly. Lee had "Batter up" but just for the begining of the season then he changed it to the Alicia Key's one...
March 17, 200322 yr AC/DC is classic. Their are so many appropriate entrance songs. I would most likely want "Thunderstruck" or "For those about to Rock"
