THIS FISH ARE QUITTER!

Featured Replies

This team has accept the fact it can win in Colorado or SF. The team is playing to lose then to win. It's playing scared and afraid of making a mistake. Yes they are choking. I'm I being harsh? NO...I don't believe I'm alone on this one. Is the season over? of course not.. but a champion doesn't fear anybody or anywhere :angry

i dont think we "fear" anyone...

i think we are overplaying or outplayin ourself...

shooting ourself in the foot....

im not too worried...

The Marlins are suffering fatigue, which is normal, and have had the situation exaggerated by the roadtrip to the two best home teams in MLB.

In 4(expect the walkoff by Helton) of the 5 games have you seen ANY fight in this team when they fall behind? I see fear JMO..

I don't see fear, if they had fear, they wouldn't have scored any runs basically.

I see fatigue from flying around, the late gametimes, the shift in routine, and no time to prepare to the change. One day off was not enough for a two hour shift.

Last night...They scored a run in the 9th last night on a Castillo single which scored Harris.

Everyone slumps, Ed! The Braves were swept by SF, the Giants recently went 0-6 on a road trip! Everyone slumps in a season Everyone has losing streaks.

And, have the Marlins battled after falling behind other than Heltons walkoff? They had people on 1st and 2nd 6-4 1 out when I-Rod hit into the DP that ended the game. I call that putting up a fight, unless by a fight you mean tying it back up!

I can see if the fish were outplayed by a better team BUT I don't see that. In Colorado Sparks get his first win, Vance a replacement pitcher and in the three game a closer turn starter. How much were did we score in the series? In SF today NO Bonds and the Fish can only score 2 runs off a guy that St.Louis released, St.Louis :banghead

Nielsosky and everbody else all I'm saying is this team lost those three in Colorado and the two in SF before they even left SFla. You could see it by reading between the lines as they answer the question about not having success in those cities before they left...thats all, hey JMO

Ed,

It is fatigue. They are not rested and are playing late at night (for their body clocks) that is why the Giants and Rox did so bad on the road. The time shift kills you unless you have 2-3 days to adjust.

Capefish I don't buy the time change early this season Fla had a chance to swept SD did the time change effect them in that series? fatigue I can see but thats somewhat McKeon fault for that using the bench more on those day games after night game.

Because that's San Diego. This is olorado and San Fran IN Colorado and San Fran...

We didn't sweep SD earlier because the Marlins were still not playing well then. Remember they had just hired McKeon and were still streaky. The went on to lose 6 straight after playing that SD series.

Ramp CapeFish is saying that the time change and fatigue have something to do with this team losing in Col/SF . I'm saying it didn't effect them back in May in SD when they almost swept SD.

If fatigue is going to play a role in this WC hunt the Phillies have their work cut out for them. They don't have an off day for a while.

Ed,

In May they hadn't played over 100 games and didn't have to deal with playing at Coors or Pac Bell. They ha djust gotten an infusion of energy from the newly hired manager McKeon and rookie Willis. They didn't play too well, but SD played worse.

Phils are off on Labor day I think.

Phils next off day is Mon. Sept. 15. Sorry, the sked I had didn't have a makeup vs. the BoSox in Philly on Labor day.

Phils are off on Labor day I think.

27 games in 27 days for the Phils....

but maybe they are off...

i know they have that makeup with the BoSox soon

Guys this my last comment on this topic, Everybody at this point in the season is tried and probable a little fatigue, to me that's no excuse your a pro. take a little pride and fight. today beckett left it on the field and his teamates did NOT pick him up. He shouldn't have lost. Colorado should NOT have own in that series with the pitcher they took out there and SF line-up with no Bonds is like facing the Brewers line-up...To me I feel this team has quit and is just waiting to either get back home or make it to Pittsburg JMO

SF line-up with no Bonds is like facing the Brewers line-up

That si rediculous, one man is not a team. They didn't make it to the World series for nothing. Bonds is not the only one there ok.

No it's true. You saw what the Giants did on the road without Barry. They were 0-5 without Barry, losing 1 to NY and 4 to Montreal.

If this team had quit then we wouldn't have had a tie game into the eighth...If this team had quit then last night we wouldn't have scored a run in the ninth(We could have tied it up but Pudge grouned into a double play.) and come from behind and score several runs in the late innings in COL. If this team had quit then I don't think Cabrera would have even made that throw to the plate.

This team hasn't givin up they have just been outplayed. This team is tired and this team will start winning again.

Jack wouldn't let them quit....
